Kassouf might be one of the most annoying players of all time, but he has mastered the art of getting under his opponents' skin by speech play, steering them to exactly where he wants them to go and you have to give him credit for that. It's an art in and of itself in poker. I think he's okay with you hating him. He isn't trying to make friends, he wants to win hands.

I've watched the Seiver/Reinkemeier hand like ten times and I have no idea how Seiver won that hand. Either Reinkemeier got in his own head (which is understandable due to the stakes) and talked himself into the fold, or Seiver pulled some serious Jedi mind trick on him.

@@jeffsudbeck4681 but he beats almost every hand, and he was a large chip leader in that hand. If he calls and his right, he knocks that guy out. If not, he still has chips left to play with. Folding a hand that strong seems like a terrible mathematical decision.
@CrazeeAdam3 ай бұрын
@@jonandra678he must have thought his opponent had 5/6 or something. That's the only reasonable hand to fold to with what Lewis had. Maybe the other dude had played connectors often, maybe he had a gut feeling that was wrong.
@Kanders1903 ай бұрын
I think the biggest issue he had was how face up his hand looks. He even said “You have to know I have a flush”. So in his mind, it’s tough to imagine your opponent is going to shove the river with worse. I think it’s a close spot and this “worst fold ever” narrative is just resulted oriented. If he stacked off and lost to 66 the same people would be saying “Lol guy think his opponent is gonna shove on a pair board with worse than a boat. What a station”

can someone explain to me how #4 made the list when the bluff didnt even get through? 🤣
@SomeGuyWatchingVideos3 ай бұрын
The interaction shown is very abridged. In reality the hand took about 10min and gave Bonomo a much bigger sweat than depicted. He was playing for his tournament life and essentially a 1M dollar pot. All credit to Bonomo for calling but the way the bluff was set up, the board was played and how Addamo kept his psychical composure throughout was masterful and deserves a spot in the list imho.

The only thing I could see him thinking the other guy had was like a 5/6 or something? Maybe he had been playing a lot of connectors at the table. And played them like that hand. Only thing I can think
@Nosirt3 ай бұрын
The guy could be bluffing or value betting- you literally only beat 1 value bet, KJ hearts. The rest are all full houses. The bad part about this is that it’s almost impossible to put your opponent on a bluff. He could have KJ but only the hearts. Or he could have J9 but also hearts- which does not jam the river. Basically while the fold seems bad because it’s a bluff, in real analysis- there is way more boats in the opponents range than bluffs and the only value hand you beat is KJhh.
@jonandra6783 ай бұрын
@@Nosirt how can there possibly be more boats in his range? If he had queens, he would’ve raised pre-flop. Possibly even with 10s. It’s unlikely with three players in the hand that he has a pocket pair at all let alone fives or sixes. 5-6 doesn’t seem like a hand to just flat with preflop but if it is 5-6, you just have to pay it off. There are way more bluffs in his range because he can only have three cards in his hand that beat him-pocket 5s, pocket 6s, pocket Qs, or 5-6 combo.
