Abt the beginning part where they said bug resisted more than electric: its like fully wrong (duh) Bug doesn't have the reputation for nothing, lol Electric: 3 resistances (flying, electric, steel) 1 weakness (ground) Bug: 3 resistances (fighting, ground, grass) 3 weaknesses (flying, fire, rock) As for offensive type relationships... Electric: no effect on ground types resisted by 3 types (grass, electric, dragon) Super effective towards two types (flying, water) Bug: resisted by 7 types ( fighting, flying, poison, ghost, steel, fire, fairy [all bugs must pay for U-Turn's sins] ) Super effective against 3 types (grass, psychic, dark) It isn't even a competition. That chatter was high on something 😭

Electric isn’t super effective against electric. I think you meant flying. - Bug is only really good from gen 5 and forward if I remember right. - My favorite bug type of heartgold is ampharos with signal beam. Jolteon with pin missile is pretty fun.

To be fair, the ground resist is very valuable. Not that it matters in this case, given he used vikavolt, but you get the idea

1:21 bug is objectively a worse defensive type because of its weaknesses, but bug and electric do have the same amount of resistances. Chat was still incorrect, but it wasn't about weaknesses like you thought at the time. Electric resists itself, flying, and steel, totalling 3 resistances, and bug resists grass, ground, and fighting, also totalling 3 resistances

Egg moves make all the difference! Keep hatching eggs, and trying out new mons with fancy moves when you restart. Losing is a necessary part of the process. You got this!
