Bulbasaur. My very first Pokémon game was fire red. I LOVED (and still do) flowers. At the time, I looked at Bulbasaur and my very young brain was like “hey! A flower pokemon”. Bulbasaur was my very 1st Pokemon that I chose to start off my Pokémon journey, so it will always be very special to me.

Bulbasaur is the best starter for Kanto. I think its really cute, I like grass types, its good against the first 2 gyms and the last one, also I think the design for all of its evolutions are awsome. Edit: If I had a pet pokemon I would have a Bulbasaur, a Growlithe, a Doduo, and a Luxray. Also a Mega Ampharos and Lucario thats badass and cool.

Bulbasaur is objectively the best one for the main game Was the only one out of the 3 to be OU for generations Even if you're a "I'mma just EQ everything" there's better mons to do that over Charizard I do think though that Blastoise is the coolest looking one Bulbasaur and grass type starters in general tend to have better personalities More emotions and tend to be much cooler in the anime and mangas Something Charizard wishes he could live up to across all the generations he shows up in compared to just bulbasaur

Its bulbasaur because he a plant type so he has advantage over the to first, second and the last Gym, and he has inmunity over the fourth Gym; and his poison type has advantage over the plant type; so he can has advantage over 5 of 8 Gyms. Oh and somthing more, plant and poison are two of some of my favorite types

my favorite starter pokemon in red and blue : I always choose bulbasour in red and blue, I chose bulbasaur because it's good against the first two gym, mean while squirtle is good against Brock but mutually resisted against misty, while charmander is weak to both of them. It resist the electric moves of lieutenant surge, it's not good against Erika and koga but it's poison typing (if u evolve balbusaur to ivysaur) prevents their Pokemon from poisoning it or you can catch a Pokemon who is good against both of them. It's not good against Sabrina or Blaine but like I said, by that time in the game you've had access to other Pokemon you caught that are good against them for a while. And lastly it matches up well against Giovanni, not just the gym battle with him but the other two battles against him from earlier in the game while his nidos aren't weak to grass, they can't really touch venusaur. And I think it's the best starter for taking on the elite four, it's definitely the best starter for taking on Lorelei. But Lorelei is an ice type specialist and venusaur is weak to ice. While venusaur may not be great defensively against Lorelei, it is great off offensively, since four of her five Pokemon are weak to grass. It's especially good against slowbro because while it's a psychic type and venusaur is weak to psychic, slowbro doesn't have an attacking psychic type move. Meanwhile charizard is only good against jynx, and while blastoise is the best starter defensively for this battle, it cant touch her Pokemon offensively. Then comes Bruno, and venusaur again does well. It easily decimates his two onyx, and it resists the fighting type attacks of his other Pokemon the only one that's a bit scary is hitmonchan with ice punch. Meanwhile charizard isn't any good because it doesn't get any flying type moves in red and blue and is of course weak to the onixs. And blastoise, while it's good against the onix, just like venusaur, does not resist the attacks of his other Pokemon. Venusaur unfortunately can't really touch Agatha or Lance, I mean it can't be poisoned by Agatha's Pokemon but she tends to go mostly sleep over poison and then against your rival, venusaur fares about as well as all the other starters do because your rivals team is balanced. In the end, venusaur overall does way better against more big plot battles, especially the early ones than the other two starters. So to me that makes it hands down the easiest choice for the best starter in red and blue...

Bulbasaur. Because he is super effective in the first 2 gyms and after those you can get good pokemon with Charmander he is at a disadvantage against those 2 with the type matchups and with Squirtle he is effective on the first one and neutral on the second one And cuz it's ADORABLE

That's not the point, the point is Who is the best in battle and honestly, squrtile is the worst for battling. Everyone should know that Venusaur wrecked everyone, plus bulbasaur is good against Brock and misty, and squritle is only good against brock

@@cheddarwaffles7168 yeah, yeah it's fully allowed to like a pokemon, even If it's the weakest. For example, i like Feraligator best in gen two, But he's the weakest. In battle of course.

I love Bulbasaur because Charmanders final evolution is somehow not a dragon and Blastoise is not a rock type, However Venasaur "whos poison for no reason but ill take it :)"Is OP and also is effective against the 1st gym 😊

My favorite Kanto Starter (and favorite one overall) is Squirtle. - It’s blue, my favorite color - Ash’s Squirtle was pretty cool - Apparently I seem to like turtles - I used to have a cool Blastoise toy that could squirt water if you press a button on its shell - The Blastoise from Mewtwo Strikes Back, Shellshocker, was pretty cool to see - The Blastoise from Destiny Deoxys was also pretty cool - Shell Smash exists - Picking Squirtle in FireRed / LeafGreen gets you Raikou, which is my favorite of the 3 beasts - Squirtle is fun to use in Smash Bros - Squirtle is my favorite character in Starter Squad
