There's more to it than that. There are brands sold at a higher price and bought at that higher price because it's priced higher. If a product is priced $1 vs $100, 9/10 times people will assume the $100 product is a higher quality and go for that instead. For example, look at foods like caviar, nothing overly impressive yet still has a high price tag and people are still clamoring to try it at-least once.
