Thank you very much. We hope to be able to visit Poland again one day.

Hi Rob. Just want to say hi since it's been awhile since I checked your channel. Great you're living it up and connecting with your heritage. I'd love to try a grilled kielbasa over a campfire. Yum!

It's good to hear from you. We are having a great time. I highly recommend the campfire technique of cooking sausages.

I used to get frozen perogies in college. Yours look much better. What a great trip!
@RobMilanowski2 ай бұрын
I believe I mentioned this in the video, but I never had a pierogi before my trip to Poland. Since then I have found frozen ones and they are OK, but you’re right… Homemade is the way to go.

@RobMilanowski You did mention it and it was surprising!

@@noflimflamfilmphan since then, I have asked my brother and sisters if they ever remembered having pierogies at home, they said no. And a cousin I talked to recently, never had her parents make them for her either. Weird!

@@RobMilanowski It's amazing the bits of heritage we can miss out on over time away from the old country. There I was a small child up in Northern WI sucking down pickled fish like candy but never tasting much of anything of the bigger parts of my family past that are not Nordic and never pickle fish.

All of that food sure looked GUD! Much love from the Rob Mob

Thanks!..We ate great! Everything I ate was outstanding. Patti didn’t like some of the things that had sauerkraut or mushrooms in it. She stepped outside her comfort zone a few times and was surprised she liked as much as she did.

Rob! Another great day and a great video. With all of these bands playing, I'm surprised they didn't ask for a drummer! Next time for sure. These videos are great not just for us in the Rob Mob, but also because your friends and family will be able to watch them for years to come. Imagine if our parents and grandparents had KZbin, and the videos of places and things they saw in their lifetimes on here, interesting stuff.

My nephew has made that same comment. What a great thing to have for our grandkids. I sure hope my channel is out there for a long time so family many years from now can look back and see how much Patti and I enjoyed life and the opportunities we had to explore this amazing planet. As far as drumming… I was hoping one of those groups would have had a drum set that I could have sat in on. But… that traditional music didn’t have much drumming going on.

Thank you for your support and great comments on all our videos. It is much appreciated. I bet you are going to have a great time when you go to Poland.

You're welcome - and yes I'm really looking forward to visiting. My brother is getting married there, so it should be a trip to remember 🎉

Thanks for sharing Rob. And I'm glad you are giving the polish people a good opinion of Americans. There is one cooking KZbinr who got the attention of polish viewers. I was afraid he gave everyone the stereotype that we're lazy, dumb, and bad at cooking.

I’m hoping to be making a pierogi video in the next week. I have never made them before and am reaching out to a friend for some help and advice.

That background music is much better than a weird drum track hands down. Glad to see you getting yourself some local cuisine instead of Wendy's or whatever crappy food chain's latest gimmicky promotion.
@RobMilanowski3 ай бұрын
Thank you for noticing. I was very happy I was able to use much of the background music from our travels. Much of it was old traditional music that didn’t have copyright issues. I’m trying to recall, but I do not believe that we ever stepped into a fast food place during our time in Poland. That felt good.

I see you enjoy the savory pierogi, but did you try the sweet kinds there? They make black currant, prune, and sour cherry pierogis. Very tasty, but I enjoy the sour cherries ones the most.

Unfortunately, I did not try any of the sweet ones. I really wish I would have.

What carnivore options did you enjoy? I hear it’s a diet that causes people to stay stagnant in weight and also causes their health to deteriorate before our eyes…
@RobMilanowski3 ай бұрын
I can most definitely state that carnivore was not on my mind during our trip. Those pierogis were 100% carbs. But.. as I understand it, many people on the carnivore diet really can have what ever they like if they think it will help them stay on the carnivore diet. Win, win.

It's just called PIEROGI because it's already plural. PIEROGIS just make no sense.
