@@AstroGremlinAmerican According to a reserve Estonian, Artur Rehi, reviewing this same footage he said that the little cracks were bullets. But the whistlers that went over their position were heavier; More akin to 30 mm from a BMP. Then of course we heard artillery fire coming in. I expected the detonation of the artillery shells would be louder yet we saw an artillery shell or mortar round land in front of their position & it just kicks up a plume of dirt.

At one point where you start hearing bullet impacts close by they start talking about a sniper. That kept them from heading to the ma deuce for a while. Artur explained that too.

Thats real battle footage. The sound of bullets whizzing by their heads every combat veteran knows well who really had to go through it. Russian propaganda never has anyone shooting back like that. The good news is those 5 Ukrainians all survived after being surrounded for several days. They are heroes.

Glad to hear they survived. Being surrounded, no matter how scared you are, all you can do is fire at the enemy if you want to live. Putting up a good defense is the only thing that can save your life at that point.

I've got a better idea. We were one of the three guarantors to Ukraine for security when it signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty therefore we should be playing a more active role in protecting them or, as you stated, send them equipment that could resolve the situation. Since Russia broke the treaty, invaded it's own ward for protection against a nuclear power, how about we just quietly restore something like a tenth of their nuclear arsenal? Then we can make a joint announcement to Russia to withdraw - or else. I hate how the US is constantly contradicting itself, breaking promises & war profiteering. Just once I'd like to see them do something for the right reasons even if it means possible devastation. Perhaps I'm alone in wishing that the phrase "Let justice be done though the heavens they fall" actually was a national policy. Personally I would rather die today knowing that my country was on the brink of destruction for doing the right thing than to live all the rest of my days knowing that my country will always back down & allow evil to continue to proliferate.

I wonder how many miles of trenches have been dug by both sides. I suppose those trenches will still be around in 100yrs just like those of WW1. It is literally the whole intend of ESS (Exhaust Smoke System). I don´t know exactly how it works, but it basicly sprays stuff (i think it´s either fuel or some kind of chemicals) on the exhaust which creates a thick smoke behind the vehicle to somewhat throw the enemy off on the exact position.. atleast on ground level.

Russians have failed on many occasions to camouflage their vehicles. In this situation with a Ukrainian tanks using smoke, They are also using camouflage netting. Cheap camo netting can save multi million dollar vehicles. While Ukraine is being effectively supplied with winter uniforms, the Russian military are struggling to supply any uniforms, small arms and ammunition.
