Polar Pro's Quartzline - DJI Inspire 2 - Side by Side Comparison (Short Review)

Hey Everyone!!! I finally got my hands on Polar Pro's professional grade line up of ND filters, the QuartzLine. The quality alone is visually & physically noticeable, Polar Pro has really put a lot of thought and engineering into these beautiful ND's.

Your previous test of PolarPro set was better. There were ND/PL too and there were longer footage with an information about settings of the camera. BTW, I have I2 with X5S and CinemaDNG and ND4/PL from this Quartz Line. And there is some pink tint on my RAW default profile when I'm using this filter, very hard to correct in postproduction.

Thats strange, I haven't noticed any color tinting on my end. I just finished using them in the Bahamas for the past 2 weeks and they seem fine. If anything the original ND's I was having tons of issues with. Such as peeling of the actual filter itself. Thanks for stopping by. :)

Thanks for the review. I just got the ND/PL version of these and find the balance works fine with either: Balance ring + filter and No hood OR No Balance ring, just filter + hood. Which way is better - with or without hood you reckon?

Hey Chris!! Thanks for stopping by. I usually just install the balance ring and ND and visually see if the camera tips down. If it does i'll reduce the weight by removing the balance ring. It also depends on the lens as well. When fly the 25mm I never use the balance ring when using the quartz line. But do use the balance ring when jumping over to a non quartz line ND filter. All in all if the camera tips down when your I2 isn't power on then you could be unbalanced. Hope that helps you out a little bud. :)
