This was very helpful. Mine was stuck. Used some blaster and gentle screwdriver turns back and forth to loosen till the stuck choke freed up.

Thank you. Very helpful video. I got an idea how to remove my motorcycle choke cable from carb. The only thing i miss in this video is the unscrew part where you unscrew the choke cable mounting on the carb.

Hi man, converted mine to a manual choke. However it is very weird that when i pull the lever up in on position it won’t idle but when i turn off the lever in its resting position, it idles hahaha it’s weird it does the opposite. Any advise why it is doing this?

Dude u didnt even show how u got the bolt out that holds the choke line on. I need to know cuz its stripping the bolt. Its lefty losey from the direction of the assembly
@MorphnSeaGull3 жыл бұрын
I didn't remove the bolt. It is hard. You have to modify a wrench for that.

Anyone know have a video of replacing a carburetor on a polaris 50cc scrambler
@MorphnSeaGull6 жыл бұрын
It's not hard to remove you carburetor. Loosen the clamp on the engine side, then the clamp on the filter side. Pull the filter box out. Pull the carburetor from the engine. Remove the choke cable, Then the pull the fuel line off. Make sure the fuel valve is in the off position. Remove the throttle cable but turning the top cap. carefully lift off the cap and remove the throttle pin and guide. Done. Hope this helped you Jason.

Anyone know how to adjust the choke cable when reinstalling ?
@MorphnSeaGull6 жыл бұрын
Mike M, There are three nut points on the bottom portion of the cable. The first one from the carburetor is the one the screws into the carburetor. The second one is to hold the cable in. The third is the adjustment nut. Turn out to increase choke/fuel flood, Turn in to Decrease choke/fuel flood.

MorphnSeaGull okay thanks a lot. Changed out the carb and reinstalled it. Hooked the choke cable back up but when the choke is pulled out when running it doesn’t do anything. Technically it should flood it and shut it off but it doesn’t seem to be working at all. Figured it needs to be adjusted maybe.

You may have to wait for a colder day where the choke is needed. Hope you can adjust it to help start on a cold day.

MorphnSeaGull no you should hear the pitch change when turning it over even..no deep thrpat pitch change..= no choke. If you did not reinstall the plunger correctly or if it came with a new plunger and you left the old one in if you did a rebuild kit it will not work, or it just needs to be adjusted usually they just screw all the way down
