I was trying to find the video you had on replacing valves. I’ve followed everything else and got bottle end rebuilt and piston rings back on. Just need to replace valves and I’ll be good I think. Your videos are a lot of help by the way

SOS I rebuilt my 570 washing your videos which runs great but also have developed a ticking noise in the top end. I've inspected the springs and they're not broken I also have a video that would love for you to listen to if you give me your best knowledge on if you think that this ticking noise sounded a lot like the one that you I would have greatly appreciate your feedback and your videos have been a lifesaver rebuilding my 570 thank you so much for all of your knowledge it's been greatly appreciated. Is there somewhere I could attach my video?

did you pull the jug up and replace the base gasket? or just the head and gasket

Hello there, I'm hoping you can give me a bit of advice. My 2019 570 sportsman developed a loud clicking, sounded like in the top or a little lower in the jug, pressure coming from the oil dipstick hole, oil coming through to my air filter and I could smell burning oil from the exhaust. Anyway, I assumed maybe a piston ring so I pulled it apart today and the piston, rings and jug look good, just 4-5 pretty light scratches on the cylinder walls that I can barely feel with my finger nail, most all the cross hatching is still there even. Of course I'm ordering a new piston/jug/gasket rebuild kit but I'm having a hard time believing my problems were caused by those few light scratches. Could that possibly be the culprit? Could my timing have jumped somehow and caused those issues? Everything in the head and in the crankcase looks bran new so I'm at a loss. I hate to put it back together without fixing the problem. I'll gladly pay you for any knowledge you could share. Thanks

I am not a mechanic but with your videos I completely rebuilt my 2015 Ranger 570 top end with new Polaris cylinder, piston, head bolts, new valve seats, gaskets, and 2 new exhaust valves-they showed wear on the stems. Everything went back together fine. Engine is running smooth w/o smoking or any noises. It was running a little too hot until I bled the coolant screw but still seems to be running a little warmer than before the re-build. I have ordered the hot cams tensioner that you suggested. I do have a problem. Polaris sent 2 head gaskets. I'm pretty sure I installed the wrong one because my old one matched up perfect to the extra one I have that Polaris sent. They were very similar and I must have got them mixed up at the last minute. I just realized this. I have about 2 hours on the machine. I'm guessing that's my reason for higher engine temps than normal. Looks like I have to tear it back down, Any thoughts, suggestions? Thanks and thanks again for the great information on all of your videos.

Hello hopefully I’m not to late in responding, I have noticed with the 570 when bleeding the system raising the front end up 12” or more will help get all the air out. Any air in system will cause it to run warmer.

You wouldn't happen to have a video of the clicking noise it was making ?
@montemania1982102 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately no. It was a very fast clicking noise, wasn’t really there on idle but got louder as you raised rpm’s.

Dang,ok,appreciate the reply,would the timing chain make a fast ticking noise? Should I try replacing the tensioner first?

My noise is rite on Start up,runs good,no loss of power either.. I have a 2018 ranger crew 570

It’s hard to say. Chances are it’s the tensioner. I’d replace it with the upgraded hot cams tensioner. I have a video on it. Also join my Facebook group, it’s a lot easier to communicate and post concerns.

@@samtuck4812 sounds like tensioner is failing. Very common their junk. I’d recommend doing upgrade to the hot cams tensioner. I have a video of it. Hopefully no chain damage has happened. Tensioner leads to chain going out.

Hello guys, I just got the call about a week ago from my local repair shop that my 2017 sportsman 450ho has destructed itself. They say the woodruff key sheared, timing went retarded, so the piston hit the valves and damages occurred at what ever level - not sure how bad until I get it back and look myself. Obviously I Cant afford to have them rebuild, or replace the engine… itd cost more than the machine is worth. They are currently trying to reach out to Polaris to ask for any possible help since the machine is only at 350hrs or something and 11 months out of warranty. Had all the recommended services done at the proper time intervals as well. Im almost positive Polaris will do nothing, so Im already pricing rebuild kits and preparing myself for rebuilding. You think itd just be top end and valve damages? Or is it possible the crank and shaft and everything is screwed…?
