Polaris Ranger EV - 16.8kWh lithium battery upgrade from Atlas-Ess

This video details the installation of the Atlas-Ess 16.8kWh lithium battery for my 2012 Polaris Ranger EV and should be the same for any model year. The installation was quite straightforward and fairly simple. Please ensure wiring is correct for your use as they manufacture a 48V parallel and a 24V series battery configuration. This is a 48v parallel battery configuration.
I also check fitment to make it a 33.6kWh (i.e. 2 batteries on each side)
One note is that during the installation process, I did lose my voice, so I had to overdub the audio, which isn't ideal, but it's just an installation video.

Very helpful despite the low voice due to your cold. Is your Polaris still running as expected? I will be pulling my lead acid batteries today and replacing with the Big Battery Husky model (lithium).

Sure - re: the charger - you can change the algorithm to a lithium profile, but you have to buy a $400 dongle to program it. Atlas-Ess does now offer a rental of this dongle. They didn't at the time. What I've been doing is the following. 1) Plug it in - after a while (say 3-4 hours) the charger will time out. 2) Once the time out occurs, I unplug the charger for 10 seconds and plug back in. Each cycle charges the battery up about 15%. When the battery reaches full capacity, the contactors on the battery shut off. I've been told by Robb at Atlas-Ess is that totally fine as the battery is protected. I like the cycling because the charger doesn't get to hot (it doesn't seem to run as hot as it did with the FLA battery anyways). I know of others who use a smart plug and have the smart plug cycle the power every 3-4 hours. I think this has been successful for them. I've considered it, but what's working now is working for me. It's such a big battery, I've only charged it about once a month so far through the winter. Re: some stats from the Battery monitor - I'm using a victron 712. What stats are you looking for? I still feel like I'm optimizing the correct settings for it but can provide details as needed. Let me know.
