A video from Galveston PD indicated the same thing. Two lane roads only, with 35 mph posted limits. In essence the people who don't follow the rules ended up making it more difficult for people in compliance with the law. I saw an ATV with four beer swigging teens on it going down a two lane in Zachary La. no plates, no rules, just drunk.
@UTVDIRT4 жыл бұрын
Dang that's messed up. I did do some checking and you are only allowed on 35 mph roads. I guess it just depends were you live and what state. Thanks for watching!

@@UTVDIRTthat 35 mph thing sucks. I live in Southeast Ohio, with the exception of two short sections of road (25 and 35mph where I am anyway), it’s all 45 and 55 mph. Other parts of the county are 25, 45 and 55 mph.

Got stopped twice in two years. Both times in Michigan. Once by the Roscommon County cops. Once by the Michigan DNR. County checked my Registration and Insurance ID, let me go. DNR checked for the spark resistor in the tailpipe AND the DOT markings on my tires... took them three times to find DOT Marking on the tires. In Michigan if your UTV has a truck license plate it's against the law to ride on OHV dirt tires!

The speed limit restrictions and slow vehicle signs are a state by state thing as I live in South Dakota and I can use any public roadway except the interstate and don't need the sign.
@UTVDIRT5 жыл бұрын
Nice! I wish that's how Ohio was. Some states cant have any plates though so I guess its better than nothing.

@@UTVDIRT I do believe though that if your vehicle can go faster than 25 you don't need the sign and can go on streets without a speed restriction in Ohio but do quote me on that best bet is to ask a lawyer and have a printout of the specific law in you glove box in case you get pulled over

@@UTVDIRT having a dashcam could also be a good idea especially since street legal utvs are still fairly new and some cops aren't exactly educated on it or clean, try a Samsung 360 cam since angle is less of an issue and it has loo record, might also give you a better way to make videos for your channel.

I’m pretty sure you were supposed to register it as a utv and get a full size plate I think what you did is the same thing as a street legal golf cart that’s why the 35 mph restriction a utv with a full size plate can go as fast as you want and wherever you want but please correct me if I’m wrong because I’m going to try and put a can am on the street I’m just not sure how to go about it

It depends on what state you live in and what your local police department says. I gave them my title at the BMV and Ohio has a APV (All purpose vehicle) plate for off road vehicles. My local police department is the one who told me the speed limit. However I never got pulled over and drove on 45-55 mph speed limits.

I know the second amendment but KZbin has rules I have to follow. (From KZbin) "If a video you've recorded features people who are readily identifiable and who haven't consented to being filmed, there's a chance they'll file a privacy complaint seeking its removal. We'll notify you if that happens and give you a chance to edit and re-upload your video before we act on the complaint. If we do remove your video for privacy reasons, don't upload another version featuring the same people. Chances are those people will file another privacy complaint or report you for harassment. Don't post other people's personal information, including phone numbers, addresses, credit card numbers, and government IDs. We're serious about keeping our users safe and suspend accounts that violate people's privacy." As you can see its just easier to ask someone for permission its not worth the hassle to me to take down the video re-edit it and than re-upload it again. The other option is to blur their face out but i choose not to do so.Thanks for watching!
