I have a 2010 xp800 with 25" x9x12 steel wheels. Can I put aluminum wheel from a 2023 ranger 1000 26x9 x 12 ??

I have not seen a 2023 rim, but I have seen a 2020. I would guess you will run into the same issues in this video.

Are your lugs the same size?

I'm doing the exact same thing to my 2004 ranger. Did the washer spacers work ok?

Never had any issues with it. Just be careful with a mod like this. It's really not the right way to mount them so run them at your own risk.

@@mossman381 I'm trying to find pre 2012 ranger alloy wheels. They have the 5" center in the back to get over those bosses on the hub. Yours must have been newer?

Those rims are from a 2013 Ranger 900. The easiest way to get nice aluminum rims for one of these older Rangers is to go aftermarket.

You will have to wait until tomorrow. I can't upload a 20 min video at once because my slow internet. The max I can do is 14-15 min and that takes about 12 hours. I would rather do a 2 part video than try to squeeze everything into 14 min. It is worth the wait let me tell you.

Only problem I see is all the weight is going to be on the studs instead of the hub. It's going to look good anyway.

I think I will be ok. This thing is not that big so it will only handle so much. The dog is in the bed most of the time. I think it is rated for 1000lbs in the bed and towing 2000lbs.

I know this is an old vid, but could you have not just drilled out the hubs to fit m12 studs?

I suppose but you better make sure you get the right size drill bit and it better drill a good round hole. Loose studs would be a nightmare. Also not sure these older hubs have enough metal for the bigger studs. There are a lot of variables to consider. I never had any problems using the smaller studs.

Not a good idea, the knurling swedge bolts fit into the inner grooves of the stud hole perfectly as is, why risk problems like loose or broken studs

I have worked on and modified these older Rangers for a long time. I know exactly what I am doing. Installing a new set of rims on an older Ranger isn't easy and after doing it I probably wouldn't recommend it. I got these tires for a really good deal, so I gave it a try and showed everybody the process.
