Thumbs up. We corrected the over heating with our XPT with a ECU reflash and bigger fan.

Bigger fan and reflash wont do anything if the radiator itself is clogged with mud

I have two questions. one does the cab get hot having that behind you? Second did you weld the main bracket to your cage or bolt it?
@RZRGARAGE7 жыл бұрын
it does not get hot. the heat goes behind you, the fan draws air through, not blow. the bracket is bolted on using 1 1/2 inch exhaust clamps, i accidentally edited that part out.

does the radiator have to be somewhat straight up and down I have some roll cage bars that are on a 45 degree angle could I mount it to them
@RZRGARAGE5 жыл бұрын
Jeff Stoneman mine is not straight up and down either, it is at the same angle as the roll cage. allthough 45 degrees might be too much

Awesome video. I have been wanting to do that conversion ever since I desrltroyes my rzr 900 radiator the first trip out. what area are you located?
@RZRGARAGE7 жыл бұрын
thank you Chris. im in western PA. if your going to do this on a 900 you should take measurements from your machine first.

What did you do about the wiring, I may have missed it
@RZRGARAGE5 жыл бұрын
Mike Kaine I cut the plug off on the fan motor and extended the wire back to the front of the machine and wired the plug back on to attach in stock wiring harness. I used lineman splice and solder and heat shrink for all connections. Thanks for watching!!!!!!

So I have the whole thing done except the overflow mounting. Does it need to be above the radiator, next to it or just anywhere. The Kits you can buy show it mounted below the radiator. What do you think?
@RZRGARAGE5 жыл бұрын
Mike Kaine honestly I don't know if it matters. If you look at any cooling system , car, truck , sxs, it is usually at about the same level as the top of radiator as it is in stock form. So I made mine the same. But now that I think about it, my kfx 400 overflow is below the radiator so maybe it doesn't matter. Let me know how it works out for you.

I spent about a week making this every night and finished it tonight. Fired it up, got up to temp fan kicked on. Never cooked off and temp light came on. What could I have done wrong.
