I used to rave with some of the touchdesigner people in Toronto in the 90s ha. i'm really excited about this pairing. I was using resolume wires for visuals but I'm definitely gonna switch over to TD now.

I'd love to see Bitwig integration with Resolume, but I guess you can use OSC or use TD within resolume.

i came to bitwig through you tutorials and i had a wish - to hear from you that name 😁 - TouchDesigner .. while watching other TD tutorials , i was missing your ease, approach and thinking pattern towards objects . here we are 🙌🧡

Would love to see the capabilities of TD with a grid patch where for instance TD is connected to a bunch of macros. This looks very promising and very familiar with the max dsp environment just more updated.

The real power of TD and Bitwig would be interfacing modulation from Bitwig to graphics for live shows. I haven't had a chance to look yet but surely it'll do this?
@PolarityMusic Жыл бұрын
yes :) and afaik in high res via OSC
@billB101 Жыл бұрын
@@PolarityMusic Do we need OSC for this, is there not a direct link. ( again I haven't had a chance to look ) Exciting stuff though for sure.
@PolarityMusic Жыл бұрын
i mean, the whole tdbitwig thing is based on osc. so no additional things are needed
@billB101 Жыл бұрын
@@PolarityMusic OK, so it's actually OSC based. As I said I haven't got into it yet. Thanks.

Pls make tutorials on making visuals on touchdesigner, and integrating the the bitwig modulation system into generative visuals etc

Thank you for the brief introduction. You hinted that it's possible to do visuals that can react to output of Bitwig, if I got that right. I'd be very interested in how that works. If you could touch on that, it would be awesome. Thanks for all the amazing content.

Look for touchdesigner showcases - you can do literally anything, from touch and audio reactive visuals to generative robotic and light shows, with human body controlled sound generators. :)

Hi there! For work TD & Bitwig i need last version of TD? coz in version of 2021 can't find that TDBitwig extension. Thx

Wondering if it would be possible to build a video player with timecode functionality with TDBitwig + touchdesigner. I would desperately love to do my scoring work and audiovisual projects in Bitwig, but all my solutions so far have been quite clunky (i.e. using two DAWS with an E-RM multiclock syncing). I can't tell if midi timecode is accessible via the TDBitwig components - but if it is, I would imagine you could pull MTC into touchdesinger and simply offset it to line up with the appropriate timecode for the video file... Maybe a big and hyper-niche question 🙃

I found a solution, you can't download this version on the site, you need to write to support and then they will send a link to the beta file.

I still dont understand what TouchDesigner actually is and what it does, totally lost. Is this to do with visuals or sound as I just cant grab the concept of it?

TouchDesigner is a node-based visual programming language primarily used for real-time interactive multimedia content. Developed by the company Derivative, it's highly popular for creating interactive installations, projections, live music performances, and other digital art forms. Here's a quick rundown: - Real-time Interactivity: One of its major strengths is its ability to create real-time interactive projects, allowing for instantaneous feedback. - Node-based: Users work by connecting different nodes, or operators, which each perform a specific function. This makes it quite flexible and allows for a high degree of customization. - Multimedia-Friendly: It can handle a wide range of multimedia types, including 2D and 3D graphics, sound, text, and even sensor data. - Versatile Outputs: It can output to various formats and devices such as projectors, LED screens, or even other software. - Community and Learning: It has a strong community and plenty of tutorials to help new users get started. So, if you're into creating interactive, real-time digital art or experiences, TouchDesigner might be a tool worth exploring.

n/m It was released with 5.0.10 (you'll need a pre-release version ATM)

Go and have a look at Deadmaus 5's cube gigs. See all those generative graphics he's doing live, they're all Touch designer. Basically for live shows TD integration with Bitwig will be the cats nuts for anyone doing live audio video shows.
