@firstnamesecondname53413 жыл бұрын
Having been using electric cars since 2018 and tens of thousands of electric ⚡️ miles covered, the number of times I’ve actually needed to charge on route or been caught short is three (not three hundred or even thirty but three, that’s it). for most drivers at home driveway or charging at the office will meet nearly 100% of their charging needs.. the over night top up even at 3Kw is more than enough to keep drivers going even a 100 mile daily commute, not to mention there’s the added advantage of pre heating or cooling while it’s connected to the mains
@timmo33513 жыл бұрын
Guess its just a bit of fear of change people need to get past. Worth remembering home/driveway charging isn’t an option for a large proportion of the population (in the UK at least), though for those spending £50k+ on a car that might be less of an issue.

Challenges to being an early adopter! My Polestar 2 EV was in the Volvo/Polestar service dept for the 2nd time in its short lease life, this time for 26 days, to try to fix software and possibly hardware issues. With the help/intervention of Polestar corporate, the car was finally returned yesterday afternoon with 45% remaining so I plugged it in and I couldn't immediately charge it. Back to the service dept today; the brutal saga continues! According to IHS Markit, forecasted expected volume for 2021 is only about 250 vehicles/month. Polestar corporate, its PS2 vehicle, the customer service team, vehicle repair services, and parts inventory are clearly not ready for prime time in the US! It is not like you can go to another dealer or repair shop; your are stuck with the one service location and team. Lesson learned?

@@harry-eto I find voice control more distracting because none work that well. Touch screens are finicky. The turn dial I drive style are still the best once you learn the menus. It’s a -it’s they are being replaced.

You don't need to slide under the car every morning to adjust the coilovers lmao what. You set it up for your comfortable daily driving activities and leave it at that. I doubt many people are going to track these things and if you do you can adjust it then. It takes like 10 minutes tops

Does the reviewer understand there are 22 settings available for the dampers?
@trevorv90352 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t matter if there are 3 settings or 500. It just is not practical for owners to go under their car and manually change the dampers. 3 or 4 modes on the central screen would be much more useful. I suspect most performance pack owners will leave it at whatever setting it comes with from the factory, and the ones who do adjustment the settings will play with it a few times and leave it.

There are now Chinese-made Teslas and they have better quality control than those made in California. There are plenty American made Toyotas, Hondas, BMWs and the like. Does that make Toyota, Honda and BMW American companies? Of course not.
