More from the Back To The Phuture Festival in Manchester. Originally scheduled for December 2010 and postponed due to production issues. Really good to see Alan and Paul perform as Recoil again. I've played Recoil to death over the years. Decided to get as close as I could, as when I see them at The Short Circuit Festival in May 2011 I'm sure it's going to be much more difficult to get up close.

I do love Depeche Mode but when they lost Alan Wilder, so much of what made that _DM_ sound left Depeche Mode. I've always admired Alan WIlder and I always will. Hearing the studio cut of Broken by the new Depeche Mode actually worked exceptionally well, to confound my opinion about DM. Alan is as much an Icon of Modern Electronic Music as the Very Best

It took Alan Wilder leaving Depeche Mode for people to realize he was the heart and soul of Depeche Mode. He was the sound of Depeche Mode. Without Alan Wilder, there is no Depeche Mode.

La verdad es que Alan se echo el grupo al hombro con este super albúm ,por lo cual puede hacer lo que se le de la gana hasta tomarse las beer que quiera en el stage, era y es el músico por excelencia he visto como toca la bateria en SOFAD THE BEST, en the cure lo querian pero el prefirio su proyecto experimental de alto calibre musical.

I have a dream where Andrew died and Alan comes back. Andrew contributed nothing to this band. He is a glorified accountant. Nothing more. To everyone saying "not going to happen" idgaf. I will keep praying that it does. We could have had 4 more violators if they had only treated him better. They're nothing without them. Paul Kendall worked with Depeche Mode on SOFAD. I think during that time he developed a friendship with Alan thus leading to the collaboration.

+pinkstrumpet Entirely subjective, of course. "Bloodline" was the true spiritual successor to "Violator", and "Unsound Methods" shows the full breadth of Alan's cinemographic touch. Just imagine all of DM's subsequent work with Wilder's depth and nuance.

Насколько я понимаю, ушел из DM Алан из-за разногласий с коллективом, а не искать себя. А много ли DM без него сделали? Перепели хиты? Дейв вообще в разных проектах солирует... Да и на благотворительный (тур или концерт боюсь соврать) пригласили все же Алана! А?)) Они все проиграли с разрывом. Факт

@@siniy775 Потому что Ультру они делали под влиянием Алана, а дальше, начиная с эксайтера - уже совсем не то пошло, за редкими исключениями. Без Алана ДМ - не ДМ.
