OF course there's a DM before and after Alan. The greatest Dm was WITH Alan. It was a perfect band. With Martin doing fabolous songs, Dave giving his voice and soul to them and Alan giving the unique and incredible sound they had. Nowadays DM is a very good band. But without Alan they're not as great as they used to be. If Alan were in DM today they would be the tremendously influential and leaders in the world of music. I really miss him...snif...

DM pretty awful lately.... no one to push them higher. No more ambitions. They are 60+ of age not so easy anymore.

Absolutely. A French 🇫🇷 Alan Wilder s Devotee. A humble discreet sensible reassuring hard working Artist 🎉 I miss him despite still admiring DM.

Alan is the soul of DM, Martin is the Brian and Dave the heart

Not too keen on the Burk on the left, but watching Alan dance and his little breaks and head bobs are truly heart warming. I love seeing Alan happy and dancing. To everyone saying this is shit, remember this. This is ALL we have left of a happier time when he was in DM. DM will never recover from this loss and nothing they do will ever compare with what they were when Alan was the architect. He IS Depeche Mode. Idgaf if I sound like a whiney fangirl, I am. The worst thing to ever happen to this band was their shitty treatment of him that forced him to leave. Listen to the interview in Sweden where he talks about making the music. Andrew is not mentioned once. If someone should have left, it should have been Andrew. We don't need Andrew and neither does DM. He does the books. He's a glorified accountant. Alan Wilder created what is their sound. Andrew contributed fuck all to the band.

Although I appreciate Mr. Kendall and have a different view of Andy, I agree with your assessment regarding Alan's role in DM. It annoys me when people ask "Why did Alan leave DM/the music business?" Did they not read what the man said?

I like this kind of concert, where we do not just listining to one number after each others, but where we hear the different songs, are being mixed with some sounds, from other songs, so that the songs, gets to sound a Little bit different, to the original songs, and that i think that there is a Little bit of Chimcal Brothers, Underworld and so on, over it then, yes.

Oh, I’ve known this since the 90s, when I “met” DM. Alan is the god of sound.✌️Dave forgive me, he sounds great on Blasphemous Rumors, but the melody is a masterpiece. I'm listening to the backing track. Fragment on the alarm clock. My morning begins with Alan.😉 I also “sinned” before Martin, he was removed from Somebody.

Oh my god I'ms so sick of this endless swan song over why Alan left DM. Creative differences. Obviously DM has buried the hatchet a long time ago, hence the reason why Wilder and Gore are collabing now. And why he so fondly covers many of the songs he made when he was with DM. They've all moved on and it's time for the fans to move on too. If DM is anything it's never stuck or static. They're always fresh and moving ahead

I love Wilder, and agree that DM's best albums were with him- he did have a profound influence on the overall sound, BUT this is........ erhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............ alllllrite. Caribou are better at this game. Trentmoller. Underworld. But, I'm glad he's out there doing what he wants.

Okay, maybe it's just me. First of all, what's up with Gary Oldman? Second, I don't get it. Everyone is saying this is great. But, what I hear is a slew of songs edited together. So this is why he left Dmode? So he could do this? Alright...I get it I guess...
@Judy-19896 жыл бұрын
Wilder left DM because he worked harder than the rest and never got the respect he deserved. His input was not valued and his creativity was stifled. He IS the reason their music sounded so great. DM was his band. He loves them. Basically the 4 of them grew up together. They should have been family after 13 years. How do you spend that much time working together, traveling the world together and partying together and never let Alan in as an equal member?!?! COLD!!!!!!!!
