Amazing videos and the cats of the park chapters were very healing and touching, i am glad they were in a children book! My theory for the next two books is that they found out splashtail didn't actually received any life and the whole clans will get into a big ass war in the 6th book, since it is implied since Sky that something troubling will cause conflict between all the clans and I think Splashtail will be the drop from the vase! Also because differently from Curlfeather, he doesn't seems to follow an actual plan, she was more strategic, if he probably killed Curlfeather thinking he was going to convince Frostpaw to become leader. I am really curious about his motives, Curlfeather is obvs because she is conservative and saw the code change as an issue, but Splashtail? i hope it isn't just ambition

Dude I love your take on what could happen. I think Splashtail is power hungry AND wants too manipulate people. Look how he manipulated Frostpaw. Also, I think he's conservative and the code changes bothered him and Curlfeather the most in the clan. I just hope he's got more to him than just what I'm making up lol

i really liked when rook and nightheart told frostpaw she wasnt naïve or dumb for being groomed, and that clanmates dont prey on eachother like that.

I don’t think frostpaw was meant to survive the dog attack. I think he just hoped that his clan mates would choose him, someone who is young and inexperienced and has had no apprentice, to be leader lmao he isn’t the brightest

I think Cherryfall being antagonistic in this way makes sense when you consider in Dovewing’s silence she and her brother deliberately tried to get the dark forest trainees injured by a fox. I think she’s a person that if she doesn’t trust someone or something, she absolutely will turn antagonistic towards them.

I really want Frostpaw to become a warrior. She’s went through so much trauma with starclan, and I would love to see her being spayed become an issue in the future if she decides that she wants kits, as in the healer role it’s against the code to have a family.

i really liked thunder, like really liked it. this book was just so much better than the average warriors book. i sincerly hope this means the writing team is going in better, healthier directions with their writing and they are going to be listening to what the fans want. there were a fwe points where i was disappointed or concerned with this book, but it was a good enough read that i can overlook them if they are just foreshadowing. speaking of foreshadowing, man this arc is popping off. genuinely really happy with the foreshadowing and laying the story together. too long have we suffered with half of the arc being interesting, then twiddling our thumbs while waiting for the climax. hello series where every book continues to build tension until the ending (we hope lol). something about a starless clan is just so promising and i do hope that the writers either continue this wave into a new arc or use it to do a much better reboot/clean slate of the story.

I absolutely noticed that it’s mostly women who move to the man’s clan!!! It rubs me the wrong way because it really reads as actual human history where women become members of the man’s family I’m sure it’s a coincidence but seriously make the men sacrifice something.

I binge-read the first 4 books of ASC this week after having not read new warriors releases since the first two AVOS books dropped. It’s been so refreshing to get antagonists that have legitimate depth. Berryheart is an irredeemable bigot at this point, but she had reasons to resent outsiders. And the reasons weren’t hidden until her (probable) death in the last book so she could be free of accountability go to StarClan or something. And Curlfeather was power hungry and manipulative, but her last act as a living cat was to sacrifice herself for her daughter. And based on Riverstar’s description, she went to the Dark Forest with grace and understanding. She wasn’t just some evil cat, she was flawed. Sorry to ramble, but my goodness the writing in this series actually seems?? Planned out?? And not made up as they go?? Shocking I know. It’s nice to have cats challenge the way of the Clans and actually choose to DO SOMETHING about it. Also, there are so many excellent scenes in Thunder alone. The one where Tawnypelt comforts Brambleclaw is precious, as is the scene where Nightheart talks Frostpaw down from a panic attack while they’re climbing the trees to cross the river. It was comedically heartwarming when the cats of the park licked the anxiety straight off of Frostpaw. Also, the scene where Frostpaw convinces Nightheart to come with her had me honest-to-god laughing. All in all, the character motivations are just so damn realistic. Of course Frostpaw wouldn’t be comfortable with Nightheart for a while. Of course she wouldn’t jump straight into playtime with the park cats- she’s been forced to be an adult since she was like 12!! Anyway this was longer than I intended, but after years of the same “important prophesied cats band together to stop the Evilest Villain Ever” this arc has been a breath of fresh air. Excellent video and art as always! I await the next few book releases with cautious optimism.
