@Ezekiel 25:17 Your statement confirms America is in no danger of being overrun by geniuses. We are, however, in very great danger of being overrun with boot-licks.
@FledMendota4 жыл бұрын
@Ezekiel 25:17 You're right. I'm not a cop. As I kid I thought I wanted to be one. But shortly after graduating college I found myself being yelled at and interrogated by 2 cops after making a 911 to report that I'd been defrauded. I could identify the perp but they had no interest in going after him. They threatened to arrest me "For being in possession of a counterfeit money order." Incredible! "Well, duh, of course I'm in possession of a counterfeit money order. I'm the one who called to report I'd been defrauded." But according to them the mere possession of it was all the proof they needed to arrest me. They were hostile and wouldn't stop yelling at me. As a white male living in an upper middle class neighborhood I immediately realized how much worse it could have gone had I been a person of color. As for where you went wrong I already told you where you that -- you're a bootlick. I'll add to that -- you're a statist, bowing down to those who trample on their oath of office by tyrannizing and bullying the citizens of this once free America, like me. Experience has taught me to avoid cops wherever possible. I never call 911. I take of care of my problems myself... proactively. Doing so requires no "certifications." A military career does come in handy though, a lot handier than the 6 months training cops get from police academy.

It's not a question of being liked it's about respect, most cops do not have respect for their badge thus the people they abuse have no respect for the officers.

@Ezekiel 25:17 I think you missed the point! Why would you want to get into an organization of criminal behavior.

Also, General Knowledge: There are three levels of interaction with the police. Consensual, Detainment and Arrest. If you are not detained or arrested you do not have to interact with a cop. You can walk away from them and ask them to stop talking to you. IMPORTANT: Tell them that you don't want to speak with them and you want them to stop talking to you. Using words like "stop bothering me" or "stop harassing me" should work but has enough vagueness that they can (and will) still try to talk to you. Check your state laws, but if you are not in a "stop and ID" state then you do not have to ID yourself unless you are arrested. Even when detained you have the right to refuse giving ID and the police cannot search you for ID when you are being detained. IMPORTANT: When detained, they can pat you down for weapons so do not mistake that for them searching for your ID because if you resist the pat down, you can be arrested for resisting arrest. NO matter how nice or cordial. DO NOT TALK TO POLICE except to say that you do not answer questions. or that you want to break off a consensual interaction.

A traffic stop should be just that a civil infraction and a ticket or warning. If the cops just did that it wouldn't be an issue. But cops are trained to immediately start violating your rights coercion intimidation illegal search and seizures.You can watch just about any episode of COPS and spot a dozen right violations. Cops are committed to keeping jails full. This is how they decide which districts get the most money for enforcement. law enforcement is now a multi billion dollar industry and they wont let something like rights or innocents get in the way that.

Finally, an honest cop. Deputy Boyd: "Most people don't like police officers." The vast majority of Americans are honest hard working law abiding citizens, so it's not only the criminals who don't like cops. Cops need to think about what it is they've done to cause us to dislike them so much. I can tell them -- it's because that, although in the eyes of the law everyone is innocent until proven guilty, cops believe everyone is guilty until proven innocent. Police training teaches them that, "Every civilian is guilty of something." It comes across in their attitude toward us. I've never committed a crime in my life, and yet every encounter I've ever had with a cop (usually a traffic stop) they've treated me rudely and with great disrespect. It's the same for all my friends and family. Honest hard working Americans all sick and tired of police abuse.

If traffic stops are so goddamn dangerous for police, why do they continue to stop people for such minor issues like license plate light, failure to signal, etc.? They are the ones doing the escalations.

DreamZ FPV good thing this is already in place and has been for decades. Illegal traffic stops bring civil cases which brings monetary compensation for the victim and a loss of job for the bad cops. Of course, most traffic stops are normal and people doing bad things want to justify their actions.

since when is owning guns and having 4 people in a car illegal?
@Howard3S7 жыл бұрын
Steven Johnson you're an idiot. tell you what. you dress up like a cop and come up to my car. I have a gun in plain view within reach and you tell me to put my hands on the steering wheel and I stead I start floating my hand over the gun. it's 4 against you. now you be the big man that you are while i glad you on and still refuse to comply. tell me, not as a civilian, as an officer what you do? back down and let 4 guys with2 guns go? run away and cry? I wonder what you'd do. I think they handled it just right and the driver Al.ost chose to get himself shot. can't be any clearer on that.
@Howard3S7 жыл бұрын
it's not illegal, but in a car the supreme Court over and over takes the side of reasonable officer safety. you can be asked a lot of stuff and you must comply or be detained, cited or arrested. asking you to keep your hands away from a gun is lawful. asking him to step out of the car is lawful. having passengers put hands up is lawful. the officer has what reason to elevate his safety course Vern's? A GUN ON THE CONSOLE. I know you're not that stupid, well I don't know. The guys can be lawfully ordered out of the car, be detained and handcuffed until the situation is sorted out. If they're legal and ok, they could be released. it's all reasonable. and legal. you want to drive around with a gun on your lap? fine if it's legal but don't be surprised if you are asked to keep your hands away from. it and decide to play around that you aren't escalated from verbal commands to force to lethal force quicker than the average antagonistic dummy.

Thanks for posting as we need police and they need our support 24-7 This video shows just how much we need two officers in each police car at all times why in this day and time anyone would work alone is just crazy to me. It all shows that it could be very helpful if the US moved the league age from 18 to 21 as most police are attack by kids from 16 to 25 and prisons are full of them at 25 or younger. When the US drop the age from 21 to 18 crime has gone up from the kids and the USA has filled up body bags of kids that should not even know what war is and many come home to the demons in their dreams Thanks for posting as we need good police but the police all so need good laws to work with not just laws pass by some giving police a free pass to do as they wish or turning them into tax collectors in the name of safety Thanks
@RicardoRoams4 жыл бұрын
You should NOT reach for anything when you are pulled over. The cop has no idea what you're reaching for. Do not get out of the car unless told to do so. Roll your window down, shut off your engine and place your hands on the steering wheel in the 10 and 2 position, fingers extended. If it's dark, turn on your interior light. Wait for the officer to approach your window. When the officer asks to see your license, registration and proof of insurance, tell him where they are and ask if you can reach for the documents. And if you are told to exit the vehicle, you must do so. Remember to be respectful and follow the instructions given. Do not argue the validity of the stop. The time to contest the stop is in court, not along the highway.

Gabe Lee, I will tell you that I have never needed a cop for anything. EMTs and firefighters actually help people. But cops are a downward drag on society and county budgets. If all PD's were magically outlawed and closed down today...I wouldn't miss them in the least. Neighborhood patrols and neighbors watching out for each other is probably 100% more effective than a bunch of low IQ road pirates stealing from folks.

This news report left out a key piece of information. We are not required to show ID unless we are suspected of committing a crime. Also, we are not required to talk to cops. The reporter should have mentioned that we don't have to forfeit our Constitutional rights just because it's a cop who is doing the asking.

"Routine" traffic stops. Makes me cringe every time he says that. Nothing about any traffic stop, (or any work in law enforcement), is a routine. Different car, different location, different time, different people.
