You do realise emergency response team (police, Ambulance crews, firefighters) don’t get official breaks the whole time they’re on duty. They have to capitalise on periods where there is no job on. This is generally why they prefer drive thrus so they don’t have to get out of the vehicle incase a call comes through they can leave almost immediately then with or without their food

Exactly. I was in a drive through and there was a police car 2 cars ahead. Randomly just turned on his lights and drove RIGHT OVER THE CURB and left in a hurry without even getting his food. Nope. According to the police federation ‘Where an officer is on duty for a continuous period of 5 hours or more, they are entitled to a refreshment break, as far as exigencies of duty permit’. The reality is of course that police will return to the station before that. In the case it is much more likely that these officers chose to pickup a couple of shakes within that 5 hours.

As a police officer, I can say while on duty, as all other jobs that require humans to work, believe it or not, like cars need their fuel, humans need their “fuel” to function too, so this believe it or not, what you’ve witnessed is a lunch break, sometimes cut short however if you’re suddenly called for an incident. You do not return a police car, take out your personal car, then pick up a police car again, for a lunch break you’re still on call for. From your shaky hands recording you show very little confidence in your protest. Didn’t achieve much more than getting a bashing online either. Take it as a lesson, mind your own business and also get a job to find out more about lunch breaks.

I’m confused by this video and the fact so many people have liked it! All I see are two officers trying to have refreshments during their busy shift, which I’m sure they are entitled to do when some bloke approaches them with a video and challenges them for it! The weirdest part about this is the bloke walking around chelmsley wood with a camera wanting to film this nonsense! On a side note that police officer is fit!

Just like all the other people who work for a living deserve the right to have a meal break. Because sometimes first responders don't get a chance to take breaks everyday like everyone else

Patrol units are allowed (and should) use their police cars to get lunch (or dinner depending on their shift) because the car is their office and if there’s an emergency they should respond as fast as possible.

You’re acting like they’re the first people to ever use a work vehicle to get food like that. They are allowed to. Some police officers use police cars as personal vehicles just like you would with a company car. Also it’s just breakfast calm diwn

While on duty officers can’t just return to the station to get their personal car to drive back. If they get a state 0 (emergency) then they have to respond Grade 1 and they can’t do that in a personal car.

Ah yes here we have Karen, part of a greatly expanding population of the male Karen rampant in these parts of the globe. The mating call sounds like annoying and extreme moaning in situations that are perfectly normal. Caution should be taken when responding to Karen’s of any type as this only aggravates them. The best solution is to simply pretend there not even there.
