Yeah, makes no sense. They closed One Side of our creek. I was catching fish and Park ranger shows and tells me..you need to be on the other side..”With the Other People”..I laughed and said thats not social distancing putting everyone together..he agreed and said to carry on, that he wouldn’t be back for hours. (He also knows I pick up all the trash people leave there). Cool ranger with common sense! Hope you ended up around some “safe” water with your son. Glad your taking him out in nature.👌 Best wishes McFly 🎣

25 years of fly fishing, and two kids who have taken up the sport. I'm not worried about a fly in the eye. I do make them take their polarized glasses with them when we fish. I don't fret when they are not wearing them. I'm just happy they want to spend time with dad doing what I love. Oh, by the way, welcome to San Antonio. I often fish the San Antonio, Medina, and the Guadalupe river.

That's exactly the problem I have with all this. Decrees from a governor are not legislative laws and not legally enforceable by his agents(police). It's debatable whether emergency powers are or were even justified(and I don't think so since they are for real emergencies like foreign invasions etc); however even those powers are extremely limited in scope and in the amount of time they may remain; they have no legal basis to drag this on for months and years. It's completely illegal and immoral and I think you're starting to get the sense of it. This country willingly submits to literal non-elected medical-dictators now. Welcome to new normal which is nothing more than medical marshal law.
@McFlyAngler4 жыл бұрын
I agree with not closing down parks, I think when something is obviously "social distancing" then why close it down? I do think mandatory face masks is a good idea for a short time, but thats just me. I am not a doctor so I don't pretend to "Know" what is the best thing. But, I think we can all agree, being out in nature, where its just me and my boy, and the nearest person is more than 20 feet away, is not something to worry about. LOL. But I guess the government has different ideas.
@jasrobsny4 жыл бұрын
@@McFlyAngler That's because these rules are nonsensical by design. It's literally out of torture technique handbooks to force a victim to obey arbitrary or insane demands and disrupt the patterns and rhythm of their lives for prolonged periods. However since you admit you don't know the best thing just ask yourself have we ever worn masks in our lifetimes before? Even so is it legal to mandate something that's not a law just because you or a governor thinks it's a good idea? (and I think people have freedom to wear a mask if they choose but mandated? No) If you ask me this is only an excuse to skirt the laws that forbid dictatorship.
@jasrobsny4 жыл бұрын
@@McFlyAngler ...and I don't condemn you using your judgment to do well by you but again is it legal or even moral to mandate something that's not a law just because you or a governor thinks it's a good idea?
@McFlyAngler4 жыл бұрын
Jason, my wife is a nurse, she has used masks before. Yes. This is why they were invented, 100+ years ago. Lol! To keep you from expelling as much of you, onto someone else. In situations like surgery or doctors with sick patients it’s beneficial. Is it with COVID? That’s a different debate. In every day life? I do think so, but there are good arguments for each side. Either way, is a mask gonna be a problem to wear? No. So if there is any benefit or potential of benefit I’ve got no issue wearing one. They suck, but not that much. Granted I don’t have asthma, I have friends who do, and they can’t wear masks, so I get that. But for most of us, I think it’s not that big of deal. It sure doesn’t bother me. But I guess I’m tougher than most.
@jasrobsny4 жыл бұрын
@@McFlyAngler Shawn, the masks whether medical or just a random face cloths (BTW which are gov't approved. lmao! ;) ) are not for the purpose of preventing infectious disease. It says so right on the box! lol! Even in medical context it only prevents spittle from falling into an open wound or incision. So if a doctor wears one with sick patients it's only a symbolic gesture or from his own superstitious belief, not scientific fact. Even the N95 does not filter anything on exhale so no it's not beneficial in that sense of protecting others. Despite how little you think it sucks it still acidified and poisons your blood with CO2 and restricts oxygen, but I say again: Is it right or legal for you or anyone to say what's good for someone else by mandate when it's not a law? It certainly doesn't work that way by any right and shouldn't and I think you know that.
