That's what I was thinking, all this over a tag? While I was surprised at times (during my career) what was revealed and unfolded after stopping someone for something such as simple as stop sign violations, brake lights out, registration, etc... This Ex-Chief only had an expired registration (and supposedly the lady "took off" from him). Even if she did take off, you still don't' do what he did.

Unfortunately many departments don’t have a fitness standard and I believe there should be. It doesn’t have to be anything extreme either. In my opinion, they should be able to annually pass what test they passed in the academy.

Honest feedback & insightful analysis. Thank you sir. That video was both sad & hard to watch. An expired tag is not a life threatening issue. You could give a verbal warning, write a ticket or give a notice to appear & say, "Have a nice day."

Being in a clearly marked vehicle/uniform should be a prerequisite for pulling someone over, especially for something as trivial as this. Instead of confirming his legitimacy, he confirmed her worst fears. The "Officer Safety" mantra has trampled regard for public safety. We're in a dark place when the reasonable right to self-defense is removed if your assailant has a badge.

No officer safety factor in this bad incident in my opinion. He proved that when he took his eyes off the driver to tell the bystander to go do something to themselves. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I'm so nervous for my upcoming oral board, potentially academy, etc.. then seeing a video like this of a CHIEF acting this way. Gotta say it makes me feel better about my chances. Wow. So shameful!

You’re only nervous because you’re human, and the nervousness means you care. 👍👍 Just go into that oral board not trying to be someone, other than yourself. Let them know what value you bring to the public and the agency. It’s not about how much you want to do the job. And then, do everything opposite of what you saw in this video and you should be fine.

It's not much of a title when the chief is the only employed officer of the town. In that situation you could refer to yourself and your job title as czar, capitan, captain, patrol specialist, citizen on patrol, 5-0, fuzz, copper, douchewad, colonel dork, or anything else you can imagine.

That reminds me of the arrest of Matthew Ward, Detective Jeff Payne and the bodycam footage of San Antonio officer Elizabeth Montoya punching a handcuffed pregnant arrestee in the back of the head while she was lying face down on wet pavement. Montoya got rehired despite Chief McManus's objections. She had another disciplinary incident in which she berated homeless people needlessly. Another disgraced San Antonio officer was hired in another department despite infamously giving a feces sandwich to a homeless person. Law enforcement unfortunately appeals to bullies due to the legal and physical power that law enforcement personnel are granted.

Thank you for continuing the videos. I have a request for a video. Could you please create a video that describes dating and marriage as an Officer? The challenges of an Officer who is single and dating. Also, marriage. How to keep a marriage strong and free from infidelity. I've learned that Officers have a higher rate of break ups and divorce as well as affairs, than non Officers/first responders. I apologize if it's a sensitive topic. I feel it is important for people looking into joining the field of Law Enforcement, and people who currently serve. I believe a video as such would create healthy Officers, and their families. Thank you for sharing your wisdom to the views!
