My goal with applying to the Sheriff’s Office is to gain a few years of experience and either join the US Marshal Service or become an FBI/CIA Agent 💪🏽 I’m excited to see where this leads me if my application goes through. I pray to our God it does.

I applied to my County’s Sheriff Department because I need to be out and about being as active as possible. I refuse to live my life behind a desk doing paperwork all day and at 24 years old and a Private Security Guard I want to help people and my community. While I hate writing IR’s (Incident Reports) since in security we deal with stuff to, I know it’s part of the job and that’s fine, as long as I can be outdoors saving lives and making a difference. The best advice I myself gave to others on my security teams in the past is: Do not take anything personally because they are mad or upset about the situation and not at you as an individual.

Great video , its unfortunate that cops have to do this sometimes . Thier job is difficult and dangerous , however more and more cops seem to be on some kind of power trip and do things like this when it isnt needed.

Well that was not the intention of the video 🤔Just wanted to highlight the necessity to work on being spiritually, physically, socially, and mentally fit for duty (and life). Watch this video if you need further clarity for your decision: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ope2fZeFr9Z_hsksi=VbCMpbBPfemkKLGb

Furthermore in my experience female officers can sometimes diffuse situations better especially when dealing with hostile male subjects who see the male officers like another male challenging him.

There are valid arguments against women in LE, but I agree that his justification is strange. In 55 years of driving, I've been pulled over probably 7-8 times. None of them were women. One was rude. Policy isn't made from 1 person's experience.

After hearing all the reasons you quit, I want to thank you for doing so. There are way too many policies, procedures, and protocols put into law. Terry versus Ohio is the worst law ever passed through the Supreme Court. It gives officers the right over citizens and that’s just not right, everything is in the name of police safety. Not the safety of our citizens. People in my family or police officers. I see how much they get hated on and this generation is probably better that you quit. You actually said the word law-enforcement when I grew up they were police officers or police officers. It’s a very bad organization.

I agree with you Andy’s opinion on female officers is just wrong. You said it best, there’s bad apples from each tree wether you’re a Male or Female officer. His argument saying without their badge or gun he could just put a whole in their face when there are males you could do the same thing to. I think he has some type of insecurity and doesn’t like being told or checked by women which is a huge ego problem, if he was following the law he wouldn’t have so many stops by officers in general.

I think if you're a soulless psychopath then law enforcement may be a good career for you also if you're possessed by demons you would probably fit right in but any decent human being should probably steer clear of such a corrupt profession!

I was the youngest in my class and retired last. I got on corrections in 1976. Three years later transferred to police. Just retired this week. My Pension hasn't been determined yet, but as a captain it will be 16-17k monthly. Then add on SSA, VA, and deferred comp. I was blessed to work with so many smart and talented people.

Hello, im thinking of being a police officer when i get out of the Marine Corps. I'm just curious if the job is similar to the military, like being in a squad and having a squad leader and team leader in charge of you. Also, is rising through the ranks similar to the marine corps where we have a jepes score and have to complete courses and extra training to raise our jepes points to rank up. Idk if jepes was a thing when you were still in lol. Thx cant wait to start

I went last weekend to run the obstacle course. I was the oldest (47) 1 in the class. I ran the course 6 seconds faster than kids 20 years younger than me. They didn't offer me a job. I left their a happy man. 26 year old young men and women were falling out all over the place. Some didn't even finish the course.

Any advice for failing a Polygraph due to nervousness despite having a clean background?
@The10CodeMindset
@The10CodeMindset 10 күн бұрын
Dang. That’s tough. I reached out to a polygraph examiner I know, about your question, and here’s the answer I got: The polygraph isn’t fool proof and is only as good as the examiner. The examinee may not have understood and followed the instructions exactly which could cause them to fail or it could be a super slight issue that she was concerned about but didn’t express it to the examiner. All in all, we don’t always get it right. I would advise her to move on and apply with a different agency and see if things could turn out differently with a different examiner. …. After getting in touch with my friend regarding your question, reading the response back, I can see why Ken said in the video he has a love/hate relationship with polygraphs. Hang in there. Opportunities come to those who are relentless.

Most police departments pay 50-70K a year starting. Idk where you got the 30K from. More false narratives..
@The10CodeMindset
@The10CodeMindset 11 күн бұрын
Thank you for commenting. If anyone is curious about a prospective department's pay, either visit their website or check out Indeed.com or ZipRecruiter I was stating the 30's-50's starting pay based on how there are more smaller agencies than bigger agencies. Now those metro PD's will definitely offer $50-70K, but I'd guess out of 18,000 police departments nationwide, the metro's don't even count for 10% of that. According to the BLS non-metro police officers, particularly in rural and small-town areas, typically earned less than those in larger cities. On average, these officers made between $52,000 and $55,000 annually. Starting salaries in these regions could be lower, often ranging from $35,000 to $40,000, depending on the local budget and cost of living. And what's shocking is that in the state of Mississippi, the average annual income of police officer is not even $45K. That's tough.
