Literally the cops just saved them. I did 22 years in the Army retired in 2022 after 22 years. Two deployments (OIF/OIR). I own zero guns and I am fine thanks. This isn't misinformation its literally something admitted to by those cities governments. There is a reason most Wisconsinites don't even bother going to those two cities for recreation anymore and why they both have dwindling native citizen populations as people move out of the city and to the North and Chicago's finest specimens move in, in droves.

Today if you don't have cameras, a dog or more than one, good strong doors and protection like at least a pistol(and one in a caliber that starts with 4)then you're just asking to be a victim. It's actually SUPER rare for the cops to stop a bad guy. They're almost always the cleanup crew. It's usually up to you to save yourself and your loved ones in hairy situations like this. I'm glad it didn't turn out bad for these ppl. If they didn't have the camera they'd not have known to barricade so that alone prob saved them. And today all the things I mentioned are cheap. Well the dog can be not so cheap but for the average of 1-2k a year it's well worth it having a dog. Just barking alone scares most baddies.

At 7:30 Officers are talking with the guy who is stopped inside a stolen car with an open door, after he had broken into a home and fired 2 shots while the homeowner was inside the home. Yet they allowed him to drive away without any shots fired by the Officers.
