Hi Mark, Good to see you gettin in about the basic stuff that you have to do to keep the money rolling in. Without getting to look too close i'd say not a bad job you made of it too. As you said ... amazing how long this kind of stuff takes ... but its all good experience.

What 20 grand , it’s done nearly 200 thousand miles. Very brave anyone that invests that amount of money.
@Alexander_l3224 жыл бұрын
Yes once it’s converted to LHD and lost miles on the boat on its way to Eastern Europe then it will be worth it 🤣. Right now on eBay there’s ones for 16k and up in the UK. No idea what these go for in other countries.

No way is it going to be converted from rh drive to lh drive and have a respray and be a money maker , I was interested to watch until it was going to be “converted” . Mileage will be altered and if it’s worth even half the effort I’ll be more than surprised .

When you're using fibreglass matting in the future mate use more than one layer and really ladle resin on to make sure it all changes colour that way you have a better chance of it sticking long term, there seemed to be a fair amount of white showing round the edges of your patch. I'd have been tempted to cut that out to a square, used a piece of scrap bumper (you must have some) cut to shape then plastic welded/hot stapled it in then just a smear of filler rather than a big lump that will sink, being supported by a weak fibreglass patch which I guess will fall out....maybe before he gets it too far from you!

The clip on the side of the tunnel is for a life hammer for smash glass and has a blade for seat belts✌️

That bracket in the footwell is for a life hammer.There usually orange in colour and shaped like a mini hammer,the head has metal domed ends used for breaking glass and at the end of the handle is a partly guarded blade to cut the seatbelts.Its used to release anyone trapped in a vehicle.It should be positioned in the middle of the roof lining so all occupants has access to it,I've had one in my car for 20 years and fortunately never had to use it

Hi Mark. I know its what the owner asked for and he paying you but I may have suggested fitting after market Reflectors or some kind of extra LED lighting to Cover the holes which would make the vehicle that bit different to a buyer. In case he does, want you to do some extra work can I suggest watching "Saving Salvage" He recently had a Decommissioned Ex NHS Skoda Octavia to work on with similar problems. Holes,Wiring, Roof Bars etc. Cheers.

The thing in the front passenger footwell is not gun related and often left. It a safety hammer mount. The hammer is normally orange with a glass head and a seatbelt cutter should the vehicle be damaged. Any gun safes are either in the rear passenger area or boot, they have to have guns on them or in a safe.

Bud for that sort of small job you know you buy p38 body filler others available cheeper this is just to get to my point you can also buy p40 it’s a fibreglass compound like filler but it’s fibreglass mixes same way spread on some 2” masking tape place inside bumper it turns like a pinky red once mixed ok back to placing into back of bumper using your mixing spatula gently spread out wile it’s still on the masking tape on the sticky side or if can’t get in use fingers just enough for it to poke through holes then leave still with tape on because the smoother the better it will start as going hard to get hot once set it will be like concrete but sand just like filler you can then leave or remove the tape it will be like glass after removing the tape no sanding required behind then you have the option if you like to do the same with the front just wile it’s going off the thinner you get it the less sanding before now Iv use a grinder just to flick it down faster then thin film of filler the rest you know just another way for speed obviously you can use in place of the tape that’s just another way of holding it in place wile going off some fibre glass sheet just for it to bond to but the way I mentioned just for speed and less messing around it’s the fastest way hope it helps if not on this job because you will probably have done it before reading this but it might help for future problems it’s fantastic for using on backs of split bumpers to and many other similar jobs keep it up and keep safe 👏👏👍😉
@perrycooper35304 жыл бұрын
Ps you can also use a fine mesh sheet to if you’re needing extra strength ie near parts that need the strength corner or to join splits 😉

Made no sense bumper was 90% off Just made more difficult for yourself leaving on like that. The hardest bits get off are arches and popping lights, only left studs along underside and popping clips for sensors. That is boot is prob a ballistic plate incase weapon neg discharge in transit so driver doesn't get a slug in his back while in pursuit
