Short and sweet answer: "I don't have the biases that can interfere with the job. No bad habits means you can train me easier."

If you are an attractive man or woman or a football player, you are in. Questions can be hard because you need to know what to say ahead of time. Very good video. Different people look for different things. Dedication is one thing they look for. They also look for consistency. I was asked by the Deputy Chief of police: what would make you quit the force? I thought for maybe one second and sai: If I were to lose respect for the department. I was in. Another agency looked at my military record and saw I had three good conduct ribbons (one ribbon for every three years.) He said I stayed straight away longer than any other ex-GIs he had seen in a while. If I was asked and I was: why should we hire you over all others. Because I am dedicated. I obey the rules and I am very fit plus and I am here to learn and contribute. I got hired but many knew me any way from the service so I had an in anyway.

I am older. My local police department does not have an age cap. During my oral board, I can’t hide that I am older than the other applicants. Do I mention anything? I feel I have benefits with this such as life experience, mature work ethic. Is it better to go a different route or to use this as an advantage?

I am going through the hiring process right now and after i passed my written test the first thing they had me do was an interview. Would should I expect next? Another interview?
