I worked as a substitute teacher. I had to pass a background check for each school district I worked in. Same state. Same area. Literally two different high schools 10 miles away from each other, and I have to get a background check for both. If teachers and nurses can be held to this standard, why can't cops?

I even see people believing they are making poverty wages when officers with 5 years plus on the force can commonly make 100k-300k when you move further up the chain. In TN the average starting pay for an officer is 53k, plus the best benefits you can possibly get, pension, and overtime loopholes that can double their paycheck. And one of the reasons for this misconception, other than state propaganda, is that like a lot of careers the starting pay is low. Lots of officers wash out due to the stress of fitting in at work, so that 53k grows absurdly high once you prove you can toe the line. Pisses me off so much that it is a regular thing you look into the salary of "bad apples" and they are banking 300k, allowed to retire after their crimes, and keep it all. Used to live next to a cop whose house was bigger than my entire apartment complex, yet people are out there saying "they are underpaid, and it's a hard, dangerous job". None of that is true. At least not the norm.

This happens all over our country. Here in Indiana, law enforcement officers ping pong departments all over the state. One such cop is Toby Deaton, a career cop with a bad attitude. He bully's suspects and has had to leave departments for misconduct. There's no excuse for errant cops in today's society, yet they rehire in another county after embarrassing one department after another. The best way to end this vicious cycle is to have the bad cops' police academy certificate voided, rescinded, or whatever can be done to make sure the rogue cop will NEVER enforce the law in that state again.

I live in Michigan and I can tell you from my own personal experience when you are in jail you lose all your rights and they treat you accordingly if you do not obey all of their commands you will end up tied to a damn chair duct tape with a helmet on it happened a lot in Houghton county jail most of the people are different now but it still happens a lot I don't get in trouble anymore so I'm not really in it but I remember every weekend being disturbed and I would have to wake up in the morning because I was a trustee and these people would be screaming after they were duct tape to chairs or handcuffed chairs with helmets on their head because they were hurting themselves supposedly but mostly I seen a lot of rough abuse from cops especially on the female prisoners there were people in jail with broken limbs and they wouldn't let them have their pain medication because you lose the right to be treated like a human there they still do that if you've got broken bones you're f***** you won't get no help they won't even give you a Tylenol but three times a week this is the reality for people who lose their rights however I think they should be able to handle things better it's disgusting and Holden county in upper Michigan their court system is a kangaroo court it's run by a few people who trade information with each other it's totally illegal you hear them deciding what cases they're going to let do what with right in front of a court for people

The questions are emotional and only a sicko could answer all of them in a way that would pass. Ita not a good way to weed out candidates.
