The film opens with Bernard Garrett in Willis, Texas, in 1939. He listens to his customers' chats about money and real estate investing while working as a shoe shiner outside a bank. One day, while listening to a bank meeting, a police officer spots him and begins following him. Bernard's father speaks to him that evening, when he examines Bernard's finance notebook, he says he's a smart child, but no white man will let him make money. Bernard, on the other hand, insists on going out to make a lot of money one day. We are transported to 1954 Los Angeles, where Bernard, his wife Eunice, and their son Bernard Jr. arrive in a car to visit his wife's uncle. The uncle informs Bernard that Northrop is employing black workers and that he can obtain a job there, but Bernard respectfully declines, stating that he will try his hand at real estate.

Welcome to the life of a lazy and excuse-driven black person. We've heard all of the complaints, and we've listened to the winning and moaning; how about we stop parroting what we've heard every generation of blacks say for more than 100 years and actually pay attention to the lessons of the movie. Bernards's dad complained; Bernard PLANNED and Executed. Was it easy? No. Yet he still got it done.

You are absolutely right. But they call black people lazy even when they DO work hard. Imagine that foolishness? Calling a race of people descendants from slaves in the US, who busted their tales, for free, for white people who didn't want to do their own work, lazy. White people stayed lazy in the US, but historically acquired boatloads of land and wealth, mostly through unjust laws, stealing, deception and even killing people of color.

This movie kinda made me mad because they still doing the same thing today in different forms, It took years to aquire any wealth. How you going to beat a person that's been having money years before you? The game has changed but they still pay our counterparts more for the same job. If you work in HR you see the difference in pay for the same or less experience, but you can't say anything or you lose your job.

The reason why this game is being played, is because they run everything, and they can change the rules at any time during the game. They can do whatever they want, as long as they are in charge. Now that they know that we are hip to their game they are scared, running scared, because they know that if the playing field is at an equal level, they will lose, and they cannot afford for that to happen, but all the Americans want is a slice of American Pie, that's all. But, the game is running deeper even now in 2023, now behind closed doors, they are trying to figure out how to regain back that real estate. Because there are now, some prominent black folks, that own businesses, Big businesses, they're real estate, they are really scared, I don't know what they're going to do next, they could tank the economy, or scrap it all together, or what, who knows what they're going to do next. Bottom line is this, the one that has the most money, holds the most control, that is a game changer. Money is Power, And they know that. Keep this in mind, don't forget about Black Wall Street, and what they did to that thriving community. Now that you know about, Black Wall Street, don't you ever forget it, your economic life will depend on it.

@@truthandjustice.1182 not at all imo. Except for the fact that Asian students are naturally more gifted towards math and science whereas many other students aren’t. It comes down to an overall culture than prioritizes stem fields. Same way many black kids being more gifted athletically and have grown up around a culture that placed greater emphasis on sport. Doesn’t mean Asians can’t ball, or that black folk can’t master stem courses. Always cringe when I hear talk about the modern day struggle for black folk in todays education and work systems when it doesn’t exist. Its honestly the best time in all of human history to be black. By simply being black you’re able to get accepted into schools w/ lower grades and test scores than others. You’ll get considered more likely for jobs. And you can get federal loans and mortgages at lower rates than others. It’s not right, but that doesn’t mean I’d not let myself take advantage of the broken system while I can lol.

As a black man that built his business from absolutely nothing and turned it into a thriving company currently with 17 employees, I must say I have not been met with this resistance to black wealth by the bank and I was raised in a working-class poor family of 5 and had nothing but my decision making to move me forward in life. Having good credit, a good relationship with the bank, and walking in to the bank with a well laid out plan for your business goes a long way. Its called making better decisions for your life and what you want to do. Its easy to convince yourself that there is some force with their boot on your back preventing you from being successful, because it allows you to always justify why you are stagnant and failing. What is truly amazing though, is how much your life can change when you change the way you think. When you stop thinking you are a victim and go to work realizing your dreams. When you get up every day and put foot to pavement chasing what it is you want in life and not letting setbacks and hearing no discourage you. We live in the greatest country on the planet with opportunity abound and still have lazy ass people blaming the white man for their lack of success. It really irritates me, because for far to long I have watched to many of my very intelligent people be their own oppressors simply because they are to lazy to take the difficult path and instead chose the easier path of victimhood. I own a small business with 17 employees on the books. Im no rich man, but my wife is happy, my home here in Silicon Valley is paid for, and my kids want for nothing. I call that success. Its not bragging, rather its a message. Simply changing the way I thought is what allowed me to accomplish what I have. I understand and do believe racism persists. Im not denying that, but racism is quiet, and sparce. Its not the systematic problem that those on the left would like you to believe. Do you really think a bank in this modern day, who's entire existence is money would rather deny you of a loan for some arbitrary reason like skin color, or would they rather provide you with that loan so they can capitalize on it? Remember we live in the largest most successful free market capitalist system in the world before you answer that question, but like anyone they want their money going to someone or something with as little risk as possible.

Second, It came out in an even more reduced format than usual becaause; The film, starring Samuel L. Jackson and Anthony Mackie, was withdrawn after a producer, a son of one of its protagonists, was accused of sexual misconduct. After its original rollout plan was scrapped late last year, “The Banker,” a civil rights drama starring Samuel L. Jackson and Anthony Mackie, has a new life. No idea if accurate, just what I found.

Strange how the government takes all of their properties and assets and never returns it to them. So what did the government do with these black businessmen's property and money that they seized illegally. Did the government give them any of their money back that they took, their property. I bet you they didn't give him anything back. Now that I mentioned it they have taken all kinds of property in finance from black people in this country and never return their property or money. But oh yeah don't mention reparations, of the money that was stolen and property that was stolen from Black Americans in this country. Black towns and businesses that were destroyed. Free work that was stolen from Black Americans in this.

It's important as someone who has more recent sub saharan african ancestry to be careful how much race-related content you allow yourself to view because it you aren't careful, it can seriously, seriously affect your mental health. It is surreal how your ethnic affiliation can be connotated as such an overwhelmingly negative thing and sometimes I can't believe that I ever came to this earth.

Its all they have left that makes them relevant that and the armed terrorists, they call a army , which reinforces these decisions with brute force whereever they are sent, they know no different they never have , thiese are the action of the DYING OCCUPATION of the WESTERN nations by Slavic peoples and the angst wrongly called racism is them deperatly trying to hold a position in a occupied land EVERYWHERE in th WEST! not racism , but the dying ends of a occupation! masquerading as sovereign nations in OTHER PEOPLES LANDS AND ASSIMILATING THEIR HISTORIES AND ACHIEVMENTS AS THEIR OWN ! and go to reality altering lengths to achieve this, which is the issue around the world! Israel , and South Africa are the easiest examples for understanding! but the other westernern nations are also EXACTLY the same , the realisation has been suppressed and forgotten , that your oppressors are invader/ occupiers who never went home and have terrorized the indigenous for the last 500 years into accepting their presence, when their is NO AGREEMENT IN EXSISSTANCE FOR THEM TO BE IN our LANDS LET ALONE still RULING OVER US IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM AS WE NOW SEE THEY ARE NO LONGER CAPAPBLE AND NEED TO RETURN TO THEIR INDIGENOUS REGIONS ALL EASTERNERS WHICH INCLUDES WHITES AS THAT IS WHERE THEY ORIGINATE FROM , NOT WESTERN ERUPOE BUT THE EAST OF EUROPE! EURASIA , WHERE ALL OUR NIGHTMARES ORIGINATE think on!

When the country built up the most wealthy economic country throughout the world.
