Why, because someone doesn't have the maturity to handle a civil conversation let alone an arguement apparently. They also don't have the intelligence to be able to own a gun. Hopefully there won't be a parent crying that there "baby" is being treated unfairly when they get caught. They need to be held accountable.

I used to visit alderwood mall. A great place to watch a movie and spend some time with the kids. Then Lynnwood city council began their misguided apartment building boom and it has become a really sketchy mall full of prowlers. Once the light rail opens, it will basically be a war zone like Southcenter Mall.
@Iquey2 ай бұрын
All those apartments save for maybe a couple affordable units within those buildings are market rate and luxury apartments. They aren't section 8 shacks but nice modern upscale flats. People need places to live and riff raff don't just move into standard rent price apartments. You folks always say the same stuff about the "light rail bringing crime" that you sound no different from the Bellevue Nimbys when the South Bellevue to Redmond tech center East link opened.

Enough is Enough! Sad. If you want change Washington state you need to vote. We have a terrible voting record in Washington state. If you want change, we need to vote and you probably need to vote differently because Washington state is going to be the next California if allowed to continue ..Sickness in the government
@Iquey2 ай бұрын
What law that republicans (who are all about constitutional carry and open carry) would pass would have prevented this? I think the laws we already have on the books prevent people under 18 from bringing guns around in public and randomly firing in crowded indoor areas. Also the only party that wants mandatory background checks for gun ownership is the Democratic party or independents who are not in the NRA's pocket. So unless you have an actual policy that would have prevented this, maybe think before you post insinuations with no actual solutions. Also if you want to say this was a parenting problem or mental health problem, Republicans don't really do anything to support parents or mental health in this country either.

@@Iquey what I stated is true. You can surmise me as to be this that or the other I don’t care. You have to figure out who you are and choose your path for this state. I have a right to speak my mind. Don’t shut me up. That’s what Democrats usually do more than Republicans. At least in the government.

I worked at the Alderwood Mall during the early 1980's and I can tell you this would never have happened during that time period. The north end of Seattle, Lynnwood and Everett have steadily gone downhill over that period of time thanks to declining morals or our society.

@@somphanhsoukhaseum7006 once upon a time when i worked security there we used to do this. However after numerous complaints of racism we were instructed to stop. first happened here on south end in 2002, black males in the food court of southcenter mall, which I first observed as a phenomenon around 2000, was out of state '97-'99. I never went back to the mall, and I'd been going since the mid '70s. Every 3 years it would happen again throughout Bush2 and then Obama. I'd say the daylight store robberies in greater seattle area started during Bush2 and never stopped. I saw Seattle at night sev. months ago for the first time since mid 2000s. It has an eerie foreign 3rd world slum + Orwellian 1984 feel, both at the same time, at once...

She told me that girl she posted was one of her close friends and she got shot by the shooter. She's in the hospital now and no ones sure if she's alive or not yet. What's also crazy is that I almost went there today with my parents and grandparents...

I arrived to the mall right after it happened. Reports from people inside say that two groups of black teenage gang bangers got into it with each other. Two of them pulled out guns and started firing. Then 7 suspects fled the premises and were not apprehended. An innocent bystander, 13 yo girl was shot near the heart. Security, then paramedics administered cpr to her. Eventually stopping. Her body layed there for 30-40 minutes. She’s gone. RIP 😢 The news won’t report it. No gun law would have stopped this. Our society is sick in the head.

@knuckledraggingbreeder77213 ай бұрын
maybe the long hard look needs to be at our leadership, prosecutors and judges who are allowing these kids with guns go free. These kids who commit crimes go home to mommy with home monitoring because they were raised in poverty or whatever other garbage they are pushing. The law is not being enforced and this is the result of it, all of your crying about guns wont change anything if they wont hold people accountable for their poor life choices.
