They were all ambushed, two of the officers were also shot and were in surgery, the suspect who had two guns died at the hospital after they immediately rendered aid to him. This was a domestic violence call, one of the worst calls police can receive. It’s not known as of yet if they knew the suspect was armed when he went into the woods.

STOP sending these poor dogs in to be killed. Cops are the ones wearing protective gear, cops are the ones with guns and other weapons, dogs are not. A dog cannot understand human problems. K9 Kitt, rest in peace puppy..... Dogs are the best gift humanity was given and it's been squandered by too many..... So sorry for his loss to his dad his partner, and his family. He had him for 12 years. He was an officer for 12 years.... That's a long and strong bond between the two..... They should have bullet proof vests as well as military working dogs.... I hope the other two officers that were shot make a speedy recovery!!

Sad that it takes a day like today( officer in Worcester who lost his life saving lives ) to stop and realize what police officers world wide face everyday. To those who shamefully support defunding and for police reform. What do you think the great idea of having social workers go out on police runs would have done today? would they have ran into the woods along with them and asked the scum bag to please come out of the woods so they can talk about this and resolve in a peaceful manner ? or how bout the brilliant idea of defunding police if they had gotten their wish maybe Officer Famililla who lost his life today would not have on duty and the other two kids in the water may have drown as well.
