Long story short, he trotted over and clamped his jaws around another female dog’s neck, and it took what felt like forever to get him to release. I felt awful and the owners of the other dogs did not press charges, but they should have. I’ll never fully trust a pitbull or similar breed again.

I hate pit bulls. Most of all I hate the story line told by so many people that it's always the owners fault, they weren't "socialized" correctly, they trained them wrong, blah blah blah. Even a poorly specialized German Shepherd is less likely to attack and when it does, is less likely to rip to shreds the person they're attacking. There is not another commonplace breed that has the hair trigger attack reflex combined with the power and delight to tear rip and kill like the pit bull. I'm sick and tired of the lies of softhearted people who help to protect this breed from the censor they deserve and contribute to the deaths of many individuals as well as other pets and animals. It is past time for government entities to recognize the extreme danger these animals represent and do something about it. Everyone was forced to wear masks for the good of everyone else. Why can't we do the same thing with dangerous animals? Don't allow any shelter to adopt out any pit bull or pit bull looking dogs. I recognize that many pit bulls are "sweet" and wouldn't "hurt a fly". But when we examine without prejudice the numbers of pits that attack their owners, who have previously exhibited no aggression, we can discover that previously "sweet" pit bulls can turn deadly. There's a case of a pit in Tennessee recently who attacked the owners adult daughter whom it knew, tearing into her face. The family Chihuahua came on the scene to see what was happening and the pit turned on the Chihuahua, killing it while the daughter and her son escaped. If the pit hadn't turned to kill the Chi, the woman would not have survived. This is only one of many pit-I-ful pit bull stories that the sloppy pit-kissing community doesn't want us to see. Please, if you have influence in your community or state, please save us from these killers.

I was on the #23 bus in Manhattan two weeks ago and some idiot had a pit bull sprawled out on the floor on the back of the bus. No one even attempted to sit back there because of the menacing appearance of that dog sitting in attack mode for anyone who came near its master. That man literally took up about twenty seats. I cal bs on that stupid line of sloppy sentimentality. This breed is a ripping and tearing machine. They have a hair trigger to attack. Previously well behaved dogs can turn. They trot right up to whatever they're going to attack and begin to dissect without giving off any signals they're going to attack. I watched two pit bulls behind a chain link fence, that had previously killed other dogs, wait on their side of the fence while the neighbors little friendly puppy tried to play with them on the other side of the fence. The pits stood there staring at it with their mouths open, waiting for it to get close enough do they could grab it and pull it through like they'd done before. They never growled, no raised hair, absolutely no signals as they waited to kill and e@t the pup. Gross. Since they require such super-knowledgable, experienced and alert owners, they are dangerous and the majority of any population should NOT own them. They need to be outlawed.
