Police Trainer (Arcade) - 1 credit clear (1 miss)

This was played on an original Police Trainer arcade PCB on an HAS supergun. This was recorded through an S-Video connection because my setup cannot support RGB signals at the moment. I played this board on default difficulty settings, which are visible at the start of the run.
As for some background info on what this game is all about, Police Trainer is an arcade light gun game that was pretty prominent in arcades that I went to as a kid. This may have been due to it being a light gun game that featured no actual violence, so you would often see these cabinets in places like Chuck E Cheese's. The game itself features small silly lightgun tests that get harder and harder as you progress. The structure of this game is really similar in style to current day WarioWare games.
Anyways, this is only the second time that I've been able to pull off a 1 credit clear of this game. This is the equivalent of putting in one quarter into a cabinet and reaching the end without ever putting in a second coin, which is super hard because many arcade games will "rank up" the difficulty when you are consistently playing well.
This time, I played a little bit better. I was able to take all my lives into the final rank, Commissioner! However, I lost one life to the rotating Marksmanship test, which isn't even the hardest test of that rank. Super unfortunate that I didn't get a "no miss" run here considering I took care of the Commissioner level Speed & Defense challenges with no issues. The next time I upload a run of this, it's safe to assume it'll be a "No Miss" run where I don't fail a single test.
Also something worth noting. When doing attempts, I noticed gradually, quotas for some games would permanently get easier over time, even when I'd opt out to the Service Menu! I realized eventually that this game has a "global rank" system, where previous games from previous players can actually dumb down future attempts!
So because of that discovery, I got this run with a "clean boot" of the game for default quota difficulties, which I've found can be done by toggling the difficulty setting in the Service Menu off of Medium then back on Medium.

I remember this game! The bowling alley on base had it for the longest time, before every arcade game on base was taken away. I was so mad, cause this game was a fun .50 cents. I always struggled with the timing tests.

Loved this game. I remember playing it and a little 9 year old asked me if I was a cop. I said no and he said I shoot like one. Good times and great game....

In Argentina this was a popular game in the arcades, in my city (Corrientes) had many dedicated cabinets, maybe was a cheap game? i don't know, but was one of the best shooting games of the 90s

The game is comparable to WarioWare in a sense but it is really more riding the fame of a different shooting gallery game called “Point Blank” which had a very similar setup, but is much more random and goofy.
