This is why I believe you need to be a US veteran or take a gun safety class and need to score at least 85% on a live shooting test before you can concealed carry AND I do believe in concealed carry like in the state of Vermont where they have a great gun safety record and millions carry a loaded gun everyday even the teachers. I saw a video about this from his house, where the dog gets loose and the guy is calling after the dog and going after him. The guy shouldn't be feeling bad, I would've been pissed if my dog had been shot just because it ran out and I was in the process of recollecting it. That lady pulled out the gun way too fast, you can see in the video that the dog was running around the cars playfully. It wasn't on a mission to attack nor was it barking or growling at anyone. And again the owner was already in the process of retrieving his dog, so that lady is stupid and put her child in danger. I hope the kid recovers well, maybe he should be relocated, because I'm sure he'll be scarred after this and fearful of her holding the gun again.

@@jenhoffman6052 Absolutely, most dogs even pitbulls (which I wish I could own), aren't naturally human aggressive, or in most situations aren't naturally aggressive at all, some ofc are bred to hunt/kill things (not humans), but can be trained to control themselves in different ways. most dogs I believe are either afraid or misguided with improper training or training at all. I feel bad for dogs that get labelled as "aggressive" when in most situations they weren't at fault and are just acting out of fear, protection or they don't understand what their owner wants (or they don't have an owner aka strays etc), I especially hate it when whole breeds get banned in place of selfish or ignorant OWNERS aka PEOPLE, not the DOGS, like the case with pitbulls, when they can actually be great family dogs, and in cases they can work with people, children and other dogs / animals. It is actually a perfect example of what happens when a gun is too readily available. If she didn't have it to reach for, she might have actually been forced to come up with a less irrational response to her perceived danger.

Beautiful sweet & innocent Bruno! People shouldn’t assume that every muscular dog is viscous. Worse case scenario, parents could have defended their child without a deadly weapon! The gun-happy mom should never be allowed to carry a gun ever. CPS should look into her background more.

You know not everyone is so lucky. You know it. But the fact is no one should have to know. Leash your dog in public. Not only is it the law, it's the safest thing for the public, for the dog, and for the owner. Almost everyone that's been sued to hell and back for their dog attacking another thought their dog was a sweet playful dog, until it mains or kills another person/pet. You know this. It's not unheard of. Especially in this city.
