Dear Polina. Thank for this gorgeous and moving performance. You allow the music to breathe. You give the music space to catch up to the human spirit, and space to give the human spirit room to hear and appreciate the music. Everyone plays everything too fast these days. But not You. I hope you are well these days

Then learned about your life...you play for the Hospice patients and started that artist's rehab clinic/group. Very proud of you! I have a friend who had a very difficult young life and rather than respond to her pain in drugs or anger she became a social worker (Master's Degree) and has helped so many women with counseling over the years. Makes me think of you! I think you add so much to so many lives Miss Polina!

Bravo -- Bravissimo for this wonderful recording of Chopin's Raindrop Prelude!!!! I have rarely heard such a profound Chopin as from you. Dear Polina - you are truly in a league of your own. I love your phrasing, wonderfully your chosen tempo, your incomparable nuance, the arcs of tension never heard before and that inimitable range between ppp to fff. Reminds me very much of my beloved recording of Chopin's Funeral March by Sergei Rachmaninov, in which he disregards Chopin's instruction to begin with ppp again after the middle section and instead begins with fff, which makes much more psychological sense. Ingenious and musically brilliant! And your Raindrop Prelude is just as wonderful. An absolute listening pleasure! Many thanks for this gift! From my side, I thought today somewhat jokingly in the sense of the highest compliment - your surname would have to be Rachmaninova! :-) In this respect, I am very disappointed that I can unfortunately no longer purchase your latest CD on Bach & Scarlati on Naxos/Melodia anywhere in Germany. Best wishes to you and all your loved ones, Werner Pres.

Chopin probably did not include interpretation possibilities for such a wide range in strength and tempo. He probably primarily - (but who knows?) - wanted to highlight the raindrops as steady beats on the roof where he sat. You took great artistic liberties, but all in all I think it was exciting to see you sink into the personal possibilities that lie in this composition to express yourself the way you do. Really a fascinating performance. It is probably the only interpretation of Raindrop in this way. Great empathy, great emotional register, and very technically well done, I was quite moved. However, I was more moved by your version of Bach's Ship my safely grace, it brought both goosebumps and tears! Thanks so much. Beautiful both artistically and visually.

Hello Polina Osetinskaya! Chopin? If Mozart - who is that? - lived in a lonely house and there was only a piano there, what would he play to dream? Chopin? Yes, Chopin! And if Mozart could no longer play the piano because he was deeply sad and had been harmed, then he would watch a video of you playing Chopin (or perhaps, if he wasn't in the mood for Chopin: Bach Piano Concerto No. 1). But the eye also wants to get something out of the music, so it asks the ears: Tell me, can you see who's playing there? And then the eye explains to the ears, which can't see anything, that it's a beautiful woman who is completely devoted to the music. Ah, say the ears, that sounds good. I don't know, says the eye (the left one, the right one sees nothing because the person who owns the eyes is squinting), but sometimes I think I see light. - Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

très intéressante interprétation de Polina que je connaissais surtout dans Bach. Néanmoins je suis un peu réservé sur l'introduction très lente et un peu fluette. La partie centrale ne manque pas de force. A t'elle joué du Beethoven ??

Are the grimaces there to entertain the viewer. The music conveys the composers message I .feel that it is staged when done to excess. I do not need this,it disturbs the rendering. After 80 yrs of playing, I love the calm deep concentration of a sincere talented performer. Take Horowitz as an example.
