I am fifty so growing up these trucks were so much fun to ride in. Not going to lie riding in the bed was a treat! After graduating college I bought a 58 Apache and loved it. The cons are they are old, loud, and they are gassy. You two nailed the enhancement and the owner should be thrilled! Thank you for the video!

I grew up in the 60s and 70s and remember these trucks brand new on the dealership lots, I have an old 77 f150 4x4 that I’ve owned for 36 years, I love the simplicity and style, beautiful truck and nicely done 👍😁

I had a 1971 Chevy C-10, purchased pre-owned in 1982 with 21K on the clock. Originally it was all black with a red interior. I had it 2-toned to black and silver. It got totaled in a collision in 1984. It only had 27K when it was totaled.

Phil one thing you inadvertently taught me (by me taking care to listen to what you say and then I just take it one step further) is the following: There's no universal scenario you're going to run into and even a situation where you get in there and it's a bit worse than you thought, it's often easier to do something to confirm our thoughts on the scenario or confirm the best approach instead of just rolling with it. With than in mind if I get a scenario like this one where I'm thinking it's not too bad but then I second guess myself when I actually put clay to paint, I'll spray a bit of iron remover into my clay medium of choice after smoothing out a section and wait for the color change as a visual indicator of how much iron is actually there to be pulled off or if it's just over spray or something. Just gotta remember that it's always going to react more and have more contamination in the clay so you've gotta make your decision with that in mind.

Can't say I remember driving them but I was around to see them brand new. I drove a 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7. Personally I' could really go for a Ram TRX rather than the older ones, I can appreciate them but i'd rather go for a new one.. Hell it's only money and you can't take it with you.

Yeah I sold my black 1977 4x4 chevy short box several years ago. Fun to drive. Classics always have a leg up on modern trucks (cars too), because they are rare. Only drawback is you get scrutinized a lot more. People look for defects and tell you about it. Oh, well. It says a lot that the owner trusted you with his truck. You did a great job, folks! Now owner needs to tlc the truck. Hi wife!

Missed you Phil and those long videos. Have a nice week sir. I find that....the opposite happens to my world about the aggressivenes of the claybar and the clay mitt. I found mitts giving me more marring. But .. maybe is because we have very different brands of claybars/mitts here in Europe. Keep up Phil, great video, great car congratulations

Which would be the less aggressive form of claying, a clay bar that is advertised as “non abrasive” or a clay mitt like you are using? Thanks guys!!
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing Жыл бұрын
Hi. it all deopends on the brand and what they deem as non-abravise, mild, or what ever term they use. but I have used mild clay bars like AM Details Clay and they work really well and barely leave any marring. bit.ly/3XKXhvg If the paint is black soft paint, pretty much anything will mar it.

Old school all day. Sadly GM doesn’t make reliable vehicles anymore. I was a big GM guy until I started buying the newer ones. They have all been junk. My first vehicle was a 99 Silverado and it was rock solid. They don’t make them like that anymore tho.

Hey Phil, I've been experimenting with products and pads trying to find the best in terms of effectiveness price and just my own preference. So far I feel like I can pretty much do almost everything with 3done and either a Orange or blue lake country hdo pads. I've been trying to incorporate 3d speed, but I've noticed when I put it on a blue pad there was a bunch of sling, seems like that pad was too hard for that product. I'm not sure if you've had an issue like that before. Also I like to use p&s showroom paint gloss after a polish because it looks great and has some cleaning ability which helps get any excess polishing compound off the paint. My question is would it be a good idea to put bead maker after I apply paint gloss, or would beadmaker not stick to the paint because paint gloss is already on it?
@MirandaDetailing
