Polishing The Clutch Casing On My Royal Enfield Interceptor 650

Top notch video Alex. This is one of the things I like least about my Interceptor 650. It's crazy that on my 30+ year old Hondas I never had to do this. Honda just sealed it their cases so that the parts look great for decades. Royal Enfield doesn't spend the extra 10 cents on some clear coat so we're stuck spending hours to do this :(

Hint , add a little dish washing detergent into the water , it makes the water wetter and stays on the sand paper and case better .

Wow, looks good! I need to polish mine. I bought all the supplies months ago after watching Stuart Fillingham's polishing video but have been too lazy! Seeing how well yours came out has motivated me. That will be my project this weekend.

While buffing with the drill, the not hit engine chrome a bit, this create a bit of deep scratch, kindly recommend what should i do to get rid of the dent scratch

I sanded it a bit and buffed it out with more polish.

what is the reason to wet sand before polishing cant we directly start polishing

@@aryagaikwad571 You can absolutely polish it directly. Wet sanding takes out most imperfections in the metal and creates a smoother surface, which helps polishing process and makes it more durable.

Try Chrome Polish

@@vanbke4 Sorry to hear that chrome polish didn't work for you. My exhaust also has markings and scratches on them, I tried buffing them out but to no avail. I just left them alone and try not to look at them lol.

The chrome parts, including the exhaust, should be washed and dried to keep clean. If for some reason they need to be polished, I would use a dedicated chrome polish.
