It's called "a la Polonaise". Occasionally I use buttered bread crumbs when reheating potato and cheese pierogi. Delicious!

I would put boiled beans into the buttered breadcrumbs and fry it for a moment. Less healthy but tastier :)

My polish grandmother made green beans with bacon , it had a sauce , I think she used ketchup and a bit of vinegar, it was the best side dish , do you know of any recipe like that , I would love to have thst dish again , I know it sounds strange but the flavour was amazing . Thank you for showing some bean recipes , love your channel ❤️

Have you ever used the yellow beans to make a soup that has a sour cream broth? My Mom used to make it while I was growing up and I would love to be able to make it now. LOVE your channel and your recipes! Sharon

It sounds very similar to my cauliflower soup recipe on my website. There are so many variations of these vegetable soups it's hard to lock down that precise soup. Check it out at www.polishyourkitchen.com and replace yellow beans for cauliflower. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching!

here in Texas yellow beans are very rare...back home in Milwaukee Wisconsin they were known as WAX BEANS, I have no idea why "wax".....loved them as a kid, haven't had them in many years....these looked delicious, need to find them locally....

Hey I just noticed. Did you move or remodel? The stove is still behind you, someone mentioned in the comments you turned you table. Give us a 360 of your beautiful kitchen or as it it to you your office. Hugs

My mama always made these breadcrumbs; but she melted the butter first, then added the crumbs (homemade of course, from bits and pieces of bread). From what I can remember, she called this "za smaszka" or something like that, I don't know how to spell Polish words.
@PolishYourKitchen4 жыл бұрын
Hi Helena, thanks for watching! "Zasmażka" is actually a roux, a mixture of flour and butter made to thicken soups.

@@PolishYourKitchen Thank you; I'll let my brother know. A few years ago we tried making the breadcrumbs thing (forgot what you called it) for cauliflower; too dr, so added butter; too buttery, so we added breadcrumbs and so on. We were failures.

@@PolishYourKitchen the roux my family uses is called “zaprashka” and it is simply flour (no butter) that is toasted in a dry pan. I add it to the halupki broth and it gives it a delightful nutty flavor.

My mom would make yellow beans for us, but she just added butter and flour to the beans.

I use 1 TBSP of butter to a CUP of breadcrumbs. Not 3 TBSP to 1/4 cup yikes!

can U speak slower and even more slow , how long U COOK the beans ?
@PolishYourKitchen2 ай бұрын
Just a few minutes, around 8-10 so they still keep some crunch.
