Political software is a walled garden. Can anyone break through?

If you're a Democratic candidate in the U.S., you use Democratic software; if you're Republican, you use Republican software. But what if you're independent? You're out of luck, locked out of both the technology and the voter data required to run a competitive campaign. Farhad Mohit founded and ran Flipagram, now better known as TikTok. After Flipagram's acquisition, Farhad felt like he had the necessary experience to challenge the walled garden of political tech, starting a suite of tools for independents known as GoodParty.org.

All too often ideas like this don't get the airtime they should. There's a lot to be said about the problem with parties and their unsurprising eventual fate. They try to produce a 'right/wrong' instead of ideas worth voting for.

Unrelated to this video. As a yang supporter when he ran. Biggest thing being we need ubi because automation is going to take every single job. AI is going crazy now. So many skilled jobs that people were certain to be safe are being taken by ai/automation now. Gotta feel a little bit "told you so."

That is the help independents desperately need. US election is largely decided by how much money a candidate can raise and spend in ads. Most politicians will do anything to get donation.
