Bout to be 70 and NEVER felt or looked better. I can't agree enough with your recommendation of Powderbrows. Changed my life. One half hour of exercise first thing every morning is a must. Water, rest, meditation, and products that work make all the difference. Wish I had your list 40 years ago. Xoxo 😘

I am 57. This is so true. People always ask about my regimine skin care. They just can't believe my age. You have to let that stress go for real. I told myself years ago, of it is causing me harm and my sanity it time to let it go. I am not going to end up in a hospital due to stressing over job, relationship, etc. We have to lovr ourselves enough to walk away. Exercise, healthy living, drinking water, supplements, and exercise does help. I am looking into microblading. My mother is 95 and her skin is amazing. She just used to used Ivory soap, Nozema, and Oil of Olay back them. I go over her house and we have weekly facials skincare parties. I wish we have more black content creators for over 50. We still love dressing, makeup, traveling, skincare, and sex.

The part about stress is too true. I tell people all the time yes you may lose ‘friends, relatives, significant others’ in the process and people may say you are boring but living stress free is the best thing for anyone. Toxic relationships are not worth your life.

That stress will kill you...thank God the fibroids were NOT cancerous. I suffered for years until they finally "allowed" me to get them removed. I am so thankful to not have to deal with that anymore. Well that explains why your skin looks so beautiful. Retinol, laser, water/exercise, eye cream & SPF. Love your vlogs Sis. So hilarious...Have a wonderful week.

I turned 40 last month. I went to a lady who I has a small gym. I told her I want to have personal training now that i am getting older. She asked my age I told her 40 and she said I look like I am in my late 20s. This is without any self care. For a month now I practiced self care from head to toe in and out. I look and feel younger than I did at 30. It's all about caring for your health appearance and happiness. I am happy to be 40.

Everything said is the truth y’all! I’m approaching 30 and I do all of these things aside from laser genesis (but I’m about to look into it). The real tea is that the earlier you get into these habits; the better you will feel and you’ll reap the benefits longer into your life. Also, this might be controversial, but wearing my natural hair has also made me feel the most beautiful I’ve ever felt. Got my locs in 2020 and it’s one of the best life decisions I’ve ever made (along with Microblading). I love that I feel free from the stress of day to day hair maintenance that came with weaves, wigs, braids, and styling my own loose natural hair.

Love this video! Quick point of clarification: there are no “naturally derived retinols. Vitamin A (Retinoids, Retinol, Retin-A, derivatives are all chemical compounds; Bakuchiol is often marketing as a “retinol alternative” for those who prefer “green,” “clean,” “natural” brands/products, BUT, it is not the same chemically (re ingredients) nor does it produce the same results as Retinol/Retin-A. 💜💜✌🏽

I am on board with everything else you shared. The only other piece I would have to add is a way to process past traumas and daily stressors. This can look like journaling, individual or group counseling, targeted reading /self help books etc. But, we all should give attention to that which supports loving ourselves, forgiveness, and wisdom as we age. Thanks so much for the tips. I literally chuckled at not being a CrossFit or HIIT person because… same lol If I had to add one thing it would be to address the root of skincare issues. For most of my 20s I suffered from hyperpigmentation from ingrown hairs along my chin and jawline. Bought probably thousands of dollars of products to fade the scars and finally I decided to try laser hair removal. I literally haven’t had an ingrown hair since I started the treatments and my scars are finally starting to fade. If anyone lives in the DC Metro Area, I go to flawless laser clinic in Woodbridge, VA. The prices are affordable (comparable to waxing prices). And I love that it works on my skin tone. I was nervous about that but I haven’t had any issues.
