All settlements are illegal! All ! Please stop this genocide with actions not just words!!
@kathchandler49196 ай бұрын
I 💯 % agree, I became friends with an Israeli lady, Carmela in 1987, she explained what was happening in Israel back then , the far right was fighting (literally by assassinating an Israely PM on the way) it's way to power by encouraging Orthodox Jews from the US & all over Europe to settle in Israel & build settlements in , what was agreed, internationally, as no man's land. Those very settlements were attacked on 7th October last. I don't want anyone to think I agree with the attacks on that day were anything other than despicable but, what happened had opened the door to a dreadful, murderous bunch, Hamas ! It's all built up over those years since 1987 to a powder keg & is exactly what a 'man' like Netanyahu wanted as an excuse to wipe the Palestinians out altogether! Yes, there needs to be a ceasefire , of course , that must come first but, then , leaders of Hamas & Netanyahu & his government must be tried in the International Courts in the Hague as War Criminals !

Anyone watching the International Court against Israel's occupation and genocide against Palestinians will clearly understand from the testimonies of witnesses and the global defense that Israel is a terrorist gang. Palestinians are not terrorists, and they have the right to defend their lands against occupation. However, the Zionist lobby controls most of the media, international parliaments, and governments by offering money to distort the truth. As witnessed by everyone at the International Court, on the fourth day of the session describing Israel's decades-long occupation of Palestinian territories - the West Bank and East Jerusalem - as racist and brutal, China criticized Tel Aviv for deliberately preventing Palestinians from determining their fate. While Beijing and most of the world affirmed that Palestinians have an 'inalienable' right to armed resistance against Israeli occupation, it responded to arguments presented by the United States in The Hague the day before and implicitly criticized Washington's general stance on the issue.

Our UK government continues to turns a blind eye to the crimes committed since the 1960’s, and sells arms to the Israeli government. Some say that the argument about the wording of the ceasefire motion and amendments, and the UK governments stance on the actions of the government in Israel is inconsequential. I disagree. The wording of the SNP motion was factually accurate, and was diluted by the amendments made by other parties. Granted the legality of the words used is still being debated, but we all know that the courts don’t always act quickly, nor correctly. I tip my hat to this gentleman for speaking the truth in its entirety on this matter.

@dondoodatand Labour removed that phrase in order to prevent the division in the party being exposed. Be under no illusion, Labour are divided on this. Starmer is doing a good job of keeping it under wraps. I do believe that the Palestinians are being collectively punished, and that Israel will annex all of their territory if not in a few years, then certainly within my lifetime, and as a Scot, I was pleased that my opinion, and the opinion of many, was being voiced by our elected representatives. Politics is a game, Flynn played it well, Starmer played it better. This much I understand. I have no quarrel with you or anyone who simply disagrees on the words used by the SNP or Labour. @dondoodat the SNP used the term, Collective punishment in its motion due the the Fact every person in Gaza is being held responsible for the actions of Hamas , that is collective punishment. Labour leader openly told the world in an interview, Israel is right to deny food, water and aid to Gaza. That is not only a war crime, it is also denying everyone the basic needs to life when they have done nothing wrong but live in Gaza. That is collective punishment. The wording from the SNP has nothing to do with Labours infighting and splitting them up, labour leadership caused it's own problem in the party when they threatened their own MPs in November when a ceasefire vote went ahead.

But the question is: why are we all on tenterhooks, hoping desperately, that the court will suggest Israel should bring an immediate end to this catastrophe. So why are we in this position; it is so black and white, there really is only one thing that can happen. To allow this to continue smacks of corruption within the highest court on the planet.

@matthewvicendese18966 ай бұрын
@@freejay3 The "arab" Palestinians have been living there for 4000 years. There DNA testing shows this to be true. Judea did not exist 5000 years ago. Around 3000 years ago, Israel/Samaria and Judea came into being from the ashes of Canaan after the bronze age collapse. Israel rose to be a prominant kingdom, while Judea was a tiny kingdom of no signficance. Within 300 years of formation Israel was crushed by Assyria. Many of the elites moved into Judea and brought some of their culture with them. Judea and Israel were still following the Canaanite polythiest religion at the time. Judea was wiped out less than 200 years later by Babylon. Following the Persian conquest of Babylon, Judaism became monothiest under the influence of Persian/Iranian Zoastrism. Under Persian rule the 2nd Temple was built in Jeruselum and Judaism was further transformed under Greek cultural influence. Roman rule continued the hellenisation and in that time Judaism splintered into many sects and offshoots like Christianity and Rabinical Judaism. Followers of both sects spread through the Roman empire. Christianity was more interested in converting gentiles, while Rabinical Judaism was more interested in being a vessel to continue Jewish culture, despite people moving all over the empire. Many Jews migrated to the Arabian peninsular and in that place Islam evolved out of Judaism. All through this time the people of the levant continued their cultural evolution that begane in the bronze age as Canaanite city states and Egyptian rule, then through the iron age as petty kingdoms and Assyrian/Babylonian/Persian rule, through classical times under Selucid and Roman rule, early medieval times under Roman rule and the Caliphate then Mamaluk and Ottoman rule ... and finally to Britain and France trying to establish colonial rule in a post colonial rule .. then subjegated by zionist colonialism and US neo colonialism. In the 4000+ years of large settlements and civilisation Israel existed for less than 250 years. There was such a large amount of religious and cultural evolution through that time. To claim that Jews whose families have been living outside of the Levant for 3000 to 2000 time have a right to impose a state upon the indigenous people of the land is based on such a load of bollocks it is hard to know where to start. It is genocidal towards the indigenous people, but just like Putin's or Hitler's deliberate misunderstanding of history it is relies upon historically ignorant people like you to make stupid statements like you did.

After two years of war between armies, Ukraine is largely intact, while Gaza was decimated in four months, in a war between soldiers and civilians, mainly children.
@pamelakoretsky99096 ай бұрын
17 year old soldiers are not children or civillians, and even using Hamas's unreliable numbers the civillian death toll in Gaza is unprecedented in how LOW it is in ratio to combatants. And lets remember...Hamas includes those they kill in " misfire ", and they count combatants as civillians. They also use the people if Gaza as human shields. Hamas/ Hezbollah targrtedcand continues to tsrget civillians in Israel. Women and children are favorites. Israel NEVER targets civillians, they give up a key strength of surprise by warning civillians ahead of strikes. It is the nature of all war, and a tactic of Hamas in this war that civillians are taking a heavy toll. Any country or person who truly cared about civilians in Gaza would be demanding the release of sll hostages taken by Hamas and Gazans, and demand an immediate surrender Hamas. As well as sanctions against any country that directly or indirectly funds terrorism. Anything short of that is blatant antisemitism, a call for the destruction of Israel and support of the true Genocide that was and remains the stated intent of Israel.
@pamelakoretsky99096 ай бұрын
Its a completely different ty poo e of warfare...if you ignore the crimes against humanity by Putin against Ukraine...Russia doesnt have tunnels and other terrorism infrastructures embedded in the aress they are waging war from. And unlike Hamas they move their own civillians out, not using them as human shields or cover for military centers.
@chilli_bean_236 ай бұрын
That’s only because Gaza is such a tiny area and the unfortunate people are like fish in a barrel, completely barricaded in by isr@hell. Ukraine is a vast country but huge areas have been absolutely decimated and it’s the most densely land mined region in the world. They reckon over 100,000 people have been killed. The russians and the isr@hellis are equally brutal, indiscriminate and lacking in all humanity.

One targets civilians and civilian infrastructure and the other avoids targeting both!
@pamelakoretsky99096 ай бұрын
@@ronstephen-wy4ib when "civillian infrastructures" are systematically used for terrorist activities, as fronts for terrorist bases, to hide and hold civillians taken as hostages, to store weapons, and to launch attacks...when within those structures terrorists are routinely dressed and hidden as " civillians". When one side as a method of terrorism does not dress combatants in a manner that clearly identifies them as combatants and jnstead disquises them as civillians....the structures they use this way are no longer protected under international law, civillian casualties are increased because they are used as human shields... many willingly. Israel gives up its advantage of surprise to warn civillians ahead of an attack in such a situation. Hamas doubles down on usinv them as human shields. And there is the fact that civillians took psrt in the Oct 7 attacks, took hostages both living and dead, are still hiding hostages. The reason is a mindwash game of propoganda and " useful idiots" like you buy it hook line and sinker. And BTW Russua like hamas is guilty of attacks on civillians, taking Ukrainian children who they refuse to return. The Ukrainians do not use their children as cannon fodder as Hamas and Gazans do. If you asked them they'd say destroy every building and give our children back. And still there are around 40,000 dead and injured civilians so far in the Ukraine war. People like you focused on buildings dont care about people in Gaza...your support of that is just a shield you hide behind because you think it hides your hate of Jews and by extension the only Jewish state in the world. Sorry your friends dont like the war they started. Sorry they built terror tunnels and weapons under and within their " civillian " structures and areas. They know the 2 things they need to do to stop this. And Israel BTW unlike Any Other Country that has defeated an aggressor intent on Genocide and Annihilation ( the words of Gaza leaders Hamas) is planning rebuild homes...although without the terror basements. Losing the war you started does not make you a victim. And your hate doesnt change the facts that do not support it. Oct 7 was an intent to kick start Genocide against Israel and Jews. Because of their fighting methods the current form this war has taken cannot be avoided. Israel has a rightto do whatever she has to for the return of the hostages and an end the threat that Gaza has become because they chose terrorists as their leaders.
