I can't believe you made this video (which is the best video on KZbin describing the whole process) a week after I installed mine haha Nevertheless, it will be useful because I'll need to take my dashboard out (to replace my old broken one) and I got a better idea of how to go about it now, thank you! (Yea, I didn't take my dash out to put the wire in the white plug, my hand was all bruised, needless to say)

Hello mate again, you said earlier that you used genuine stalks from 2013 Skoda Fabia for this cruise control retrofit. Have you done any modifications on the Fabia stalks or on your genuine T41 plug of your Polo because Fabia stalks ( Cruise Control switch) use 3 pins for Cruise Control instead of 6 pins that the Polo 9N stalks use?

Could you please explain me what connectors from video are used for what? This first connector on the steering wheel on 6:15 is factory connector or the one you got with cruise control wiring harness? The second red connector on 7:10 is used for? And the white connector under the dashboard on 7:20 is factory connector which you used to connect wire to pin 4 on the pink connector on 7:40? Where is the 20 pin connector of the wiring harness that you bought on the ebay?

If you follow the video and order the harness, you will be able to install cruise control.

Hello, I have Polo 9N3 1.4 TDI Sport 2006 with 6Q1 937 049 D central control module. Is there any way that I could connect wires from Cruise Control lever to BCM without taking hole dashboaard out? Also I've read somewhere that some Skoda Fabia MK1 with Elegance trim had preinstalled cruise control wiring and only new cruise control lever shoould be replaced. Does that apply for Polo 1.4 TDI with higher Sport trim?

All polos will need wiring, you can do it with the dash in if you have freakishly small child hands but I don’t unfortunately 😂 Dash out is also the best way to run the wires neatly

if your CECM (BCM) starts with 6Q1 it should be compatible 6r/6c one works, or the correct 9n/9n3 one, i used a 6r one as the 9n ones are extremely hard to find.

I could see in comments that you or someone else says that cruise control stalks of some other VAG models could be used like Polo 6R, Ibiza 6L, 6J, Fabia 6Y, 5J. Are they all compatible (fit on steering wheel like genuine Polo 9N3) with Polo 9N3 and both cruise control (turning blinkers) left lever and board computer right lever will work with all factory functionalities?

Not too sure mate, my stalks are from a 2013 Skoda Fabia, they can also be likely taken from a Polo 6R ('10-'13), or possibly an Ibiza. have a look around and see which ones look similar to the ones I have.

@@tomharvey I've asked local VAG second parts seller and he told me that stalks from Fabia 2013 or Polo 6R physically fit Polo 9N steering wheel but not sure are the connections and wires the same.

What about wiring? How long should be wires from cruise control lever to BCM? Because I'll buy second hand genuine cruise control lever. And second hand cruise control lever comes mostly without any wiring or with short cut wires

Get the kufatec loom linked in my reply to someone else’s comment, not worth fabricating your own loom for the sake of £20

@@tomharvey Yeah, that loom is not expensive, but my genuine left lever (deep/high beams) is dead and I don't have so much time to wait (minimum 1 month) that loom to arrive to my country. So I will try at local second parts stores to find original wiring harness with cruise control stalk. How long should be the wiring harness - would 4-5 feet (1,5 meter) be enough to connect cruise control stalk with BCM?

@FreeStylerBG I wouldn't want to tell you for certain, in case I'm incorrect, I would advise ordering the harness direct from Kufatec’s website, it will arrive the next working day.

Im planning on installing fog lights on my 9n but need to run a wire from bulkhead to lightswitch. Is there any way at all to reach the bulkhead without removing the entire dash?

Id just remove the dash, i can imagine it’s possible, my hands are definitely too big though 😂 my dash removal in this video was the first i’d ever done, and it was super easy.

There's a grommet in the passenger footwell behind the ABS, can get a wire through there then run it inder the dash to the lightswitch, I've used that place for a Sub wire and boost gauge line

Hiya mate, my Pioneer came with the frame, although you should be able to buy a fitting kit from pioneer, i know halfords do universal 2din ones too. Also maybe try dynamicsounds.co.uk, they always have plenty of stuff. cheers!

@@tomharvey o módulo de injeção do motor fica na parte do cofre perto da bateria nele tem um adesivo indicado a versão essa versao 7.5.10 não suporta o cruise control enquanto a 7.5.30 suporta

@@matheusgomes2179 Hi mate, it doesn’t come up with the light, but still works perfectly, you will need clocks from a cruise control model if you want the light. But in my opinion there’s no point, if it works it works.

@@matheusgomes2179 yeah mines a 1.4 petrol, bud engine code, doesnt have to be a diesel for it to work, its definitely worth the £70 i spent on it all together
