Then suddenly i felt depressed, got covid, my wife left me, lost my job, house flooded so i lost my gear in water, and i'm still waiting for the tracker i ordered after not winning this one. You were super inspirational at the time. A time when music was more important to me than most times. That would be learn to code and a lot of it is done in GLSL, an opensource platform. he used Processing and magic as well. both are plaforms within the code source. If that makes any sense. Awesome tracks. Just a thought - if you do this again, maybe don't have someone you worked with be crowned the winner, no matter how unbiased the selection process was. Similar to how most contests aren't available to "friends and family of employees of Company X".

I agree to some extent and I brought this up and even had that Twitter poll to just add in that additional level of authenticity (which was unfair to Teig, actually!). But the difference between this contest and a Pepsi contest or something is that this world of experimental electronic music is tiny. I'm going to inevitably know some of the people in the top 5 because they're talented mofos and I tend to be professionally attracted to talented mofos. :)

@@b3nj174 well theres an argument to be had that as the winner was known to Benn they should have been withdrawn. It's common practice that competitions are not open to friends and family of the organizer. Regardless Jesse was better IMO
