This is the second time I use blender and follow a tutorial. Right before 3:30 I was like : How do I make it 60 fps, I don't want 24 fps for this project I couldn't control my laugh when he read my mind and kissed the 60 fps label 🤣

If anyone wants to know how to not have the light flickering at the bottom when the objects pass it, simply go to the material settings for the "metal" material, scroll down to "settings", and change "shadow mode" to "opaque"! hope this helped :)

@@Ronv007 Different frames because different animations. I forgot to mention this. The way i see it, because i am a newbie too.. that in cycles you can see it more realistic. Eve is more animated.... and again its different cases you can make some stuff real with Eve. I personaly preffer to work with Eve now...my pc is not suitable for Cycle.

Seeing you follow that creative burst there in the end was honestly so inspiring! It's so easy sometimes to fall into a bad habit of ignoring my own ideas when I deem them not worthwhile or too much work. But you just went all in on your idea to try and animate the pendulum in real time, and you ended up with an awesome result/discovery. A relatively simple tutorial, but fantastic effect. I had a lot of fun. I animated my waves on the surface by switching the noise texture to 4D. Can't wait to see the results. The last part with the real time recording of the pen motion was super cool.

@@user-cj9fk8un3i That is correct. But something quite cool is that using harmonic movement to describe the movement of a pendulum has a very small error for small angles (15º has about 1% error). So it is a good enough approximation depending on the precision you are looking for and what you are actually measuring.

Love this especially the Real life experiment ! thank you for putting the effort into it ! btw you can move the camera around in first person mod by hitting ( shift + ~ ) then use (WSAD / QE ) to move, holding shift will make you move faster.

Just a quick tip: Instead of using control and mouse wheel to set the extension of the circle to 30 meters along the z axis, simply click ctrl e to extrude, and then hit z then 30. You can do the same for rotation and movement too
