You’re stoked. Any free bike is a good bike (sorta). I’ve got a buddy that bought one of these, then proceeded to swap literally everything out except the frame, fork and shock. Yes. He got it down to 33 lbs. but what he spent on upgrades he could have bought a full carbon with really good specs and had some money left over to give me gas money.

My buddies talked me into renting an E-bike. I felt a lot of the same feelings as you on the downhill. The bike weighed 50 pounds! I was blown away by how stable and fun it was on the downhill! The one exception is it's awesome on the uphill as well. I ended up buying the same model I rented 2 months ago. I'm having so much fun this early season climbing and descending my local trails as the snow line moves up the mountain. It's like finding new trails in your favorite riding place.

@@nacforadventure yes it helps tremendously I’ve done trails their is no way I’d do on a analog bike and a local circuit I used to be able to do 1-2 laps with a e-bike I can do like 5+ laps usually stoping cause it gets dark or the seat starts hurting and if weight is a concern to you their is low power e-bikes that feel almost like regular bikes
