i think its a bug, but if you turn off perspective view under camera so you are looking at the model straight on, it will work

Love you videos, great quality information explained clearly, what more could we ask for. Something I struggle with coming from different software, is C4D feels very 'clicky' when it comes to modeling. I notice you flow between tools and viewport views quickly. Do you have any top shortcuts for moving in C4D faster?

Thank you, I have 1, 2, 3 and 4 assigned for component selections, similar to Blender, I also know all the shortcuts for modeling tools, that is all.

Stuck with the polygon pen. Sometimes it doesn't deactivate after using it to connect two points. Where ever I move the mouse after connection, it wants to make an additional point. Help!

When I'm using polygon pen connecting two points, it still tries to find a third point. If i press ESC or change the tool, my edit gets canceled.

Polygonpen tool is a bit glitchy, you need to be really careful, alternatively you can use knife cut tool, it is safer and less buggy.

@polygonpen thanks. I figured it is just buggy if you keep trying or change the angle and try again it works. Never tried the knife tool but will do to see the difference. Thank you for taking the time to reply 🫡

I find the polygon pen utterly unusable, it just consistently keeps wanting to add more points, so I escape out of it, and then have nothing. I try again, it just won't lock in a singular line point A to point B. I mean it does, sometimes, and it doesn't other times, and I just can't detect any possible pattern between what I'm doing and whether or not it locks the line.

Same here, especially with the latest version of C4D, it became more unstable.

it's definitely a bug. The issue is only noticeable when working on the perspective view. It only works properly when working on another view (front, back, left, right).
