There are a lot of ways to makes a rose cane. They each make a different looking cane. I think the more petals you can put on the better it looks. Sometimes you roll out your log, cut it in half, make 5, roll it out to the original length, cut 3, cut it in half, cut center plus 3. That gives you smaller for the center and bigger ones as you go out. I do. Center plus 3 petals, 3 petals, 5 petals, 5 petals.

I first saw lace canes in one of the books I bought on polymer clay way back around 1998 - could be Donna Kato or one of the other Pioneers of polymer clay. I started using it when stationed in Berlin, Germany around 1997, 1998 - somewhere in there. You did a great job on your design! I love it! Thanks again for teaching this old dog another new trick!

Donna Kato did both techniques she presented them on Carol Duval in the way early days and she has a how to in her first book. If you think its not her contact her. She would be glad to let you know. Giving the right people credit for their design is on of the most important things to her as an artist. Thanks for sharing Your talents and Designs and making them look easy. Happy Trails

Thanks for the info. I'll have to look it up. I've only been doing this for a few years. Started in the summer when it was too hot to get on a torch to melt glass. I know Donna Kato by name but not too familiar with her work

I’ve really enjoyed your 4 ghost canes tutorials. Your rose cane is the easiest rose cane I’ve ever seen. Having the pieces all the same size is such a much easier task. Thank you 🌟🌟🌟❤️❤️❤️☃️☃️

C'est vraiment magnifique , je ne comprends pas l'anglais très bien , mais le visuel aide bien . Est-ce-que tu pourrais la montrer une fois cuite , ce doit être un superbe effet avec le transparent 👏👍🤗

My favorite cane you did was the original ghost cane you did. I love the alcohol inks you used. I believe it was yellow, teal and I forgot the last color. The rose looks dynamite on the black
