Beautiful! I feel like the process of creating these canes are the epitome of ‘trust the process’. I feel you need real vision to see what they can become and what’s required to bring it together. Thank you for a great tutorial

Thank you for such a great and simple tutorial. I have failed twice at making petal canes and although I have made other canes pretty well, the petal canes has been a bit of a challenge. I think I can make this. So I am going to give it a try. Thanks again.

I loved the video set up, quick moving, directions written to show step by step all in under ten mins! i'm just starting out so i want to watch the process many times over, but not at 45 mins 1 1/2 hr per cane. This process seems overwhelming, but after watching i feel like i can attempt it now. Pausing & unpausing the whole way lol.

Seen these lovely canes and I wonder if they could be cut to size you want put a hole in and use them as a bead in jewelry making
@ArtbyNell3 жыл бұрын
Hi Denise. Thank you and yes I think you could use them as beads but in this case I would cut them slightly thicker to make them stronger for jewellery 😊

This looks amazing and a lot of fun. How much of each color did you use roughly?. I want my canes to be as big as yours and I alwys tend to use to little amounts so they come off all wonky and small
@ArtbyNell2 жыл бұрын
It takes a bit of experience until you get the right proportions. Usually my starting cane would be around 5-6cm in diameter and that's about two small polymer clay packs, you can make larger if need to, I will try to get the exact amount in next video

Amazing. How do you work with the clay without it being sticky. When I try it's always so sticky!
@ArtbyNell2 жыл бұрын
I don't find my clay sticky and I usually use fimo or cernit, what company you have trouble with? Have you checked how old the clay is? ;)
@user-oz5zi7ft1l2 жыл бұрын
@@ArtbyNell its new its fimo soft. But maybe its because of all the hot weather and I've just started to play around with clay so I'm new to all of this.

Once you have a flower petal cane, do you combine it into a full flower cane or do you recommend just keeping it as petals to arrange into flowers? Or both?
@ArtbyNell2 жыл бұрын
Oh you can do both absolutely! I used it to arrange flowers more of a 3d effect but you can combine into a flower cane, cut into 5-6 same length pieces and add some background, light or transparent colour would look great 👌
