The little coil spring is for the slide lock exclusive to the 26 polymer 80.

I feel p80 perfected the glock frame. I like the 1911 angle grip. It also redesigned the locking block and the rails, which in my opinion is a more sturdy locking block and rail system than the glocks slide rails. Reliability of course will all depend on how you build your pistol. Also it doesn't have a warranty vs a glock. It's also a great learning experience if you want to learn every part of your pistol. I prefer my p80 over an OEM glock anyday.

I’m very glad to hear that. I’ve been fighting the urge to try this for some time now. But as more of my gun buddies make them and tell me I should try it I just plain wore out! I’m not obstinate. I just need a good reason to do something. And when I add up the cost of all the parts you really don’t save any money building a gun this way. But if it’s better then that’s a very good reason for me. 😉

This is NOT an "unboxing" video. This is "Dear diary"

Good gosh. As usual no notifications and I've been busy. But sitting down now. Congrats on the 80!

High standard to beat the regular Glock 26. But I may have to give it a go if the process is not too painful for you.

Interesting thumb ridge....Glock should add that.

I can’t believe it took me so long to take the plunge! Almost every gun guy I know has made at least one of these and raves about them. Left me scratching my head wondering what all the excitement was about. But I think I get it now. Total creative control and intimate knowledge of every detail and every part of the gun. It’s the Big Mac of guns. “Have it your way”!

The spring is for the take down I think.

That’s the only thing that makes sense. There is no tiny spring like that in the Glock 26 lower parts kit I ordered
@legarmaniac4023 жыл бұрын
@@MaxHeadspace9mm I accidentally ordered a 19 sized lower parts kit instead of the 17 sized one I needed and I think it was a coiled spring instead of a leaf style that I should have ordered,

LegARmaniac If I had a 19 I would look for you. But I have four 17’s and two 26’s.

@@MaxHeadspace9mm Thanks Max Headspace9mm. I just ordered the correct spring. I finished my frame 2 years ago and finished it up a year ago.

LegARmaniac Where did you get it?

Not reboxing it was very stupid! Midway reboxes everything!

I agree. I left a review on their website and voiced my displeasure and they took my review down!
