@@takalahgee298 relax, no one's attacking your precious Vai. I'll wager ethnar meant that as in 'meshing' 'blending in' 'matching the vibe/energy/stylistically'.. Steve Vai is a musicians musician; anyone that's played for a bit knows his status. dude was complimenting the artists; is that the time to get semantic-pedantic?

yes I agree ! Vai played some Polyphia-ish licks as well. insane song from both legends

Steve's part was crazy but wow Scotty is killing! This entire album roll out has been perfect.

I am totally on board for more Scottie. Tim has always been quick to acknowledge that they both make huge contributions to the songwriting in different ways (even if the songs usually start with Tim crafting a hook). Letting Tim shine like the virtuoso he is while also giving Scottie space to shine just as bright really elevates it. (Not leaving out the Clays either... Clay G is immaculate at playing exactly what is required with nothing more or nothing less, and Clay A is an absolute monster at converting drum machine lines to a physical kit and maximizing the value of space)

@@srsbsns7673 Honestly with the way Clay A plays and the amount of collaborations Polyphia has done with other guitarists, I'd love to see a track featuring Jojo Mayer. Guy plays breakcore chops on an acoustic kit.

that scrape that steve does with the whammy bar before he kicks into the solo always sends goose bumps down my spine so good

That’s one of his signature moves- developed as stunt guitar for Frank.

I felt it too, Steve Vai always gonna have a spot in my heart ever since I've heard one of his song back in 2010

Obviously I’m late; as a musician who’s a nerd when it comes to polyrhythmic tunes I’m surprised I’m just now finding these guys 🤦🏾♂️

Almost a week later and it still makes me so happy to see Scott getting so much time front and center. Love it.

Right? Tim is the only one who gets recognition just cause he's the only member of Polyphia who looks like they groom themselves

Really love that Vai's part wasn't just a solo that he filmed somewhere else and it was just put into the video. He actually filmed with the band and was there from that start of his solo until the end of the video.
