He is Kurdish from KURDISTAN ! how do i know ? by his name Peshwaz Faizulla and the music playing in the background. I'm also kurdish and in kurdish we say HANNAR/POMEGRANATE and also in arabic ROMAAN or ROMANNA. It is one of the most delicious and healthiest fruit . In Canada we buy them as individuals and its expensive, its sometimes $2,50 for each and in middle east its very affordable and i remember filling up the bag every time we bought it and the size and the taste 10x better when you buy it fresh unlike the ones we buy them here in Canada but its still sweet. how ever this technique was also new to me and i agree its one of the best ways to brake it . Cheers

thank you so so much for this valuable video. i recently purchased 2 ginormous pomegranates...probably double the size of the one u used! so i knew i had my work cut out for me. your video helped SO much. brilliant technique, it's perfect. this is the way i will cut all my pomegranates in the future. actually i never cut one before, so using your video as a guideline, it came out perfectly!! no mess, i didn't destroy any seed, everything came apart beautifully into 6 chambers just like yours. it took me a bit longer to de-seed the whole fruit, even with the knife-tapping technique because my pomegranate wasn't quite as ripe, although the seeds tasted sweet but they weren't as dark. i normally love to eat pomegranates but i always purchased the seeds on their own & never the whole fruit. i'm so glad i did & let me reiterate, your demonstration is on point. thank you so much!!!

i just wanted to say that using the world "scalp" to remove a portion of fruit rind is wildly inappropriate. the scalping of "indians" (ironic that you use that term, truly) is a horrific act of genocide. one should not make light of it and for the love of god do not use that term to refer to anything else. it matters.

I agree that out of all the videos on youtube your approach to peeling and eating a pomegranate is easy and clean. Not to mention that you are harmonious with the fruit...you are working with its nature rather than going against it. I've never seen anyone bite into a pomegranate the way you did. I have one waiting for him when I get home. Can't wait. Oh and I love the sexy accent. Thank you

The indian part cracked me up. You shouldn't take it so seriously, a lot of people think of this when reffering to native americans, because we don't know so much about them and this is the representation we have. We know that the scalping thing doesn't happen anymore, but we think more of a character. Like a pirate or a viking or a ninja.
@CommonGroundWW14 жыл бұрын
Extremely helpful video (do you recommend soaking in water?). However, the comment about "scalping, like an Indian" is offensive! And, FYI, the Europeans actually scalped the Indigenous peoples first (that's where they learned it!) & offered rewards of x # of dollars for the scalps of men/women/& children.
